From clapping nurses to sacking nurses – my speech tonight about why I voted against the Tories' new anti-worker law:

Good to see there is still some proper righteous indignation among Labour MPs, if only on the back benches. Keep fighting the good fight.

Terrific speech - and a clear call to arms. Thank you for speaking out for workers' rights and for your condemnation of the attempt to blame and "other" marginalised groups.

@eiecampaign So they wanted Brexit only to then fall in line with European laws?

Zarah, what is your view on the current law which prevents members of the armed forces and police services from striking? Should they have the same rights as you think other workers should retain?

Our FPTP system gives governments large Commons majorities without a majority of votes in the country, allowing them to get through draconian legislation like this. Please, @UKLabour, give us electoral reform!

3 years ago the Tories promised 50k more nurses. Now they want to sack them all.
