DATA CENTRES Let me share some uncomfortable information The data Centres they are seeking to build will be the surveillance centres. They will act like the prison warden, monitoring and allocating punishments and giving scores. For those data Centres to work, they will need FRESH WATER to cool the hardware. They will need to divert water from entire dams towards the data centre. For example all the water feeding the Nairobi population will need to be diverted to the data centres for cooling the systems. See the number of legal cases in the USA against the data Centres. We have not talked about radiation that they will produce and affect the populations living in the environs

Where are all the doomsday climate alarmists now? A quarter of Sydney’s drinking water could soon be needed to cool 270 new AI data centres. Australia is on track to become the world’s second-biggest data centre market. The government is still charging ahead with Net Zero. Have they even factored data centres into the equation?

Nara Lokesh on the Data Centre debate: “Had we listened to those who opposed computers in 1995, Hyderabad wouldn’t have become an IT hub.” Now, he says, the same fear-mongering is happening over Visakhapatnam’s Data Centres. 6.5 GW Data Centre capacity → ~3 TMC water Godavari water flowing into sea → ~3,000 TMC annually Water for Data Centres → only from industrial allocation Drinking water → won’t be touched “A 1 GW thermal power plant uses nearly 10X more water than a 1 GW Data Centre. Why is nobody questioning that?” He added that newer air-cooling technologies could bring data centre water consumption down further.

Data centre electricity demand is projected to exceed the entire power consumption of the state. Already, data centres are adding an estimated €1.6 billion to Irish households’ electricity bills, while paying around half the rate charged to ordinary consumers.

Fife residents & conservationists are campaigning to prevent plans for a giant AI data centre in rural Fife. It’s one of the world’s biggest AI data centres. It has been calculated that it would use the energy of more than 50% of Scotland's households. No one voted for this.

Data centres power our economy. From enabling you to get your NHS prescription, to paying for things online. ❗ We've now classed UK data centres as Critical National Infrastructure. 🔒 This means that we can help prevent threats and act quickly in the event of a cyber attack.
