I had a great first day with FSD v14.1.4! Multiple hands-free, point-to-point rides with no disengagements. A few “brake stabbing” events were slightly annoying but not dangerous. However, one odd event occurred today that Tesla AI and Ashok Elluswamy may want to investigate. I was going straight on FSD, the car in front turned right. For some reason, instead of just slowing down, my car veered right, activated the right signal, and stopped, letting the car behind pass before proceeding. Nothing dangerous, but rather strange behavior! I didn’t intervene. Here’s the dashcam video.

Tesla FSD in China handles gate, then successfully allows six pedestrians to cross. Small scenarios like this are so important, and it always amazes me how well FSD handles it.

In Belgium, you’re legally required to stay in the right lane on highways when there’s no traffic. Many drivers ignore this and hog the middle or left lane like seen in this video and yes, you can get fined for it. Tesla FSD does it perfectly: it automatically merges back to the right when the lane is clear. Overtaking on the right is strictly forbidden (with even bigger fines)

Tesla FSD v14.2.1 performs a Robotaxi style drop off at the airport after driving here from my relatives hotel with zero interventions. Pulls up curbside to the selected terminal like a human would. Just amazing! Tesla AI

3 Safety critical interventions in a 6-mile round trip to the post office tonight with FSD 13.2.9. That’s 2 miles per critical intervention: 1. Goes right through a stop sign shown on map and visualization. See below. 2. At the intersection just past the stop sign, it did not yield right-of-way to oncoming traffic going straight as it was turning left. I had to emergency brake to prevent a collision. Reported. 3. After stopping and waiting at a stoplight appropriately, all of a sudden it accelerated through the stoplight for no apparent reason. I had to emergency brake before much of the car had not entered the intersection. (1) and (2) above are regularly reproducible and I have posted them earlier with videos. Anyone thinking there will be nationwide unsupervised FSD or nationwide Robotaxi this year or next year: you better think again. Still long TSLA, but FSD is at an impasse with no real improvements in 8+ months. Are they making a paradigm shift to simulation training. That’s been my hunch for months. AleXandra Merz 🇺🇲 Tesla AI

My Cyberbeast just autonomously drove me home from Napa - a flawless ~2-hour trip with ZERO disengagements the entire way. Safely parked in the driveway and is now already downloading FSD v14.3. I genuinely can’t imagine how it could possibly get better… but that’s the magic of Tesla FSD. It just keeps getting better and better. Can’t wait to try it first thing tomorrow morning!

Still zero lane change hesitation with Tesla FSD v14.2.2.2 for me 6 drives in. As expected, really awesome speed control and lane decision too, noticing it moving over earlier for exits on this build which is great.

A Tesla motorhome would totally change family road trips. FSD handles the drive, and everyone just relaxes like it’s a mobile home on wheels. You’d just stop at Superchargers along the way, ideally near parks or campgrounds, maybe even built right into family-friendly travel spots. It feels like the future of road tripping, especially with Tesla Semis already proving long distance electric travel works.
