FSD needed this lane change to follow the nav but couldn’t commit. Weaved back and forth a few times, got honked at, then gave up 🤦‍♂️

FSD v14.3.7 doesn’t proceed on an advanced green This is the first time ever (?) that I have had FSD sit at a green light at not proceed. What’s also interesting is you can see the turn signal turn on for a second and then turn back off - but in the car the nav was 100% set to turn left. Any ideas? Has this ever happened to any of you.

I took robotaxi back to the looping spot. It passed the pin and spent a couple mins cycling between drive and reverse. I’ve had this happen at pickup and dropoff a few times now. Car gave up and looping the block now

Chinese NIO influencer Dong Maimai recently flew from China to California to try FSD 14.1. He was blown away by its capabilities. Here is a scenario he shared where FSD waited behind a car by the garage ticket dispenser and then FSD decided to back out and switched to the empty lane on the right to pick up a parking ticket before the access control arm was lifted up. This example shows the strong situational awareness of FSD and quick execution. No other systems can do this other than FSD.

Got my first FSD strike 🇩🇰 BMW driver failed to yield - didn't even stop. I honked at him. He then went on to threaten me by tailgating me 3 ft away for the next minute straight. I was constantly checking my mirrors and rear camera on screen, which FSD didn't like. Got a strike notice when i parked the car.

Say it me with- FSD is an unsafe a#*!hole when it wants to be. I cancelled the signal to cancel the lane change but it just turned it back on and told me to stop front seat driving. 😳

First real pucker moment on FSD 14.3.3 during our Canadian coast to coast autonomous drive 👀 An automated construction stop sign was in the upright position and FSD read it as an actual stop sign, so the car stopped. We got honked at, waited it out, and then FSD continued on its own with zero intervention. Not perfect, but honestly pretty impressive. Tesla AI David Moss Devin Olsen

As requested, here is the footage. FSD 14.1.4 was taking a right out of a parking lot. There was a mail truck in the closest lane and FSD attempted to take a really wide turn around the truck and go into the far lane, but there was a minivan clearly coming in that lane. I wasn't sure which lane it was trying to get in. When it started going in front of the minivan I took over. The minivan was paying attention and braked, honked their horn, and went around me as I pulled out of their lane. I found it weird because 14 is usually way too cautious at intersections.

i'm really enjoying 14.2, but i did ~80 miles of highway driving today and there's still pretty serious issues changing lanes on the model s, especially at night it will either do the lane change half way, then wobble back and forth for 1-2 seconds and bail, or take an insane amount of time to attempt at all in this video you can see my blinker was on (reflecting off the ground in the rear) for nearly 40 seconds with plenty of opportunity to change lanes and when it did, it hesitated which you can see. i took over to complete the lane change here

This traffic circle has been a long-standing pain point for me on FSD. As you can see, the car consistently drives in the bike lane here. I’ve documented this behavior before on FSD 12, 13, and now 14. The issue appears to stem from outdated map data. This section of the circle used to function as a two-way roadway. At the time, there was no bike lane and vehicles traveled in the space FSD still prefers today. Since the redesign, that area is now a dedicated bike lane, but FSD doesn’t reliably recognize the change. Depending on the version, it will occasionally handle this correctly, but most of the time it does not. This is currently the only issue I consistently experience with FSD. It’s not safety critical. The car will move if a cyclist, vehicle, or object is present, but reliance on outdated map data in locations like this needs to improve.

If a vehicle is following in the adjacent lane at a safe distance and consistent speed, the ego car will often activate the turn signal and begin crossing the lane line before suddenly aborting the maneuver, pausing briefly, and then either proceeding with the lane change or abandoning it entirely. This behavior appeared in v14.2.1 and unfortunately persists in v14.2.1.25. While it is not a safety issue per se, it is definitely one that needs to be addressed, as it causes confusion and frustration for all surrounding drivers on the road when it occurs.
