But this is EXTREMELY IRRESPONSIBLE, it’s called FSD (Supervised) for a reason because the driver needs to be able to take over in case of an emergency. First disengagement on FSD 13.2.9! After multiple lane changes, FSD failed to slow sufficiently for a flatbed semi, pushing so close that Automatic Emergency Braking kicked in and shut it down. Ashok Elluswamy 13.2.9 didn’t pass the coffee test as my coffee ended up all over me and my car 😂 Tesla AI please review.

FSD supervised in Europe: Another great video of our drive with FSD supervised in Dusseldorf, Germany yesterday. Here you can clearly see how the Tesla Model 3 stays fully in control in a busy area again. Passing two parked vehicles in the street (on our lane), seeing the second vehicle even before me, reacting to a fast biker that suddenly comes from the right side, and smoothly driving over tramrails on the left lane with no markings on the street at all. FSD is so needed in Europe, it will not only make our lives safer but also so much more relaxed. What a pleasure it was to be in this car, even when we were not driving (yet). This woman is using a bike lane as a walking lane as well. There is a car behind her trying to beat the traffic and driving in that lane. They are driving slowly behind her yelling at her to get out of the way and antagonizing her. She starts to record them because they are being reckless and have come close to hitting her and other cars. The car even cuts off the other cars as the lane is being blocked by a pole. I understand she’s mad because the car was where they weren’t supposed to be, however the bike lane is a bi-directional bike lane, it isn’t a bike lane on one side and a walking lane on the other. So who is wrong here, are they both wrong for using the bike lane when neither one is on a bike?

While taking my wife to work this morning Tesla FSD 14.3.2 decided to take us off the navigation and on a 3-minute detour of the Woodlands. But then as soon as my wife was saying something about the navigation snafu, FSD showed her what is truly important, as it avoided a car in the opposite lane of traffic coming into our lane while being a jackass trying to go around a school bus full of kids. My wife may not have been pleased with the 3-minute detour, but then Tesla FSD said "put some 'spec on my name woman!"

The 36 Hz AI4 video inputs and low latency make it feel like the truck’s reading the road in real-time.

This may be the most complex traffic scenario I have tested in a long time. This is a highlight clip of a very heavy traffic unprotected left turn into a center turn lane. I almost gave up on ego on this one, but it came through in the end, executed perfectly. This was on FSD Supervised v14.1.2 this morning on my First Impressions drive. Lots more to come Tesla AI

Tesla’s FSD has become really good at day-to-day driving, and it’s now performing like a human in very complex scenarios. Here’s video from last Friday, during afternoon rush hour. There’s a broken down pickup truck in the middle of the three open lanes in the Ville-Marie tunnel. Lights indicate that lane is closed. My car is in the leftmost lane, which suddenly also comes to a standstill, after police show up and an officer exits his vehicle and stops traffic. When it appears that the left lane will not start moving again, FSD moves my car two lanes over the right. 🤯 It then curves around a pothole in that lane, following how the car ahead handled it. 🤯 Honestly if it wasn’t for how bad Montreal roads are with potholes, I would hardly be driving myself at all.

Okay this needs more extensive testing but on a 40 mile interstate loop I’m shocked by what Lucid Motors has done to Gravity. Hands Free Dream Drive is probably only second to Tesla FSD on HIGHWAY INTERSTATES. This is not FSD, but on this section of I-83 it’s damn close. It handles hands free driving, auto-lane changes & is assertive in doing so without being a left lane camper. How big is the footprint that it works? That’s the biggest question, but right now it’s really impressive. It’s beyond Ford BlueCruise, GM Supercruise & similar to Rivian UHF but the auto-lane changes without initiating by signaling is ahead.
