Using Tesla FSD and looking out at the road makes you realize that the majority of drivers out there are barely paying attention while they manually drive their vehicles. It is beyond frustrating that people do this, but the genie is out of the bottle now - I don’t think there’s anything society can do to convince people not to use their phones while driving. That is why self-driving needs to become the norm as soon as possible. Not only does it make YOU safer while using it, it makes it safer for everyone else on the road who is impacted by how you drive. I really hope insurance companies start to reduce rates for people who use autonomous driving features - I really think that would be a big motivator (money) for people to start using FSD.

Unbelievable!! Sorry to say, but some people really don’t deserve to own a car. This is basic driving, and clearly this person doesn’t even understand that. If he struggles like this, I doubt he can handle normal roads let alone the hills. Such driving doesn’t just risk his own life, it endangers everyone else on the road too. And honestly, just owning a Thar doesn’t mean you automatically have the skill to drive in the mountains.driving.He seriously needs driving lessons for his family’s safety and for everyone else’s! 🙏🏻

But this is EXTREMELY IRRESPONSIBLE, it’s called FSD (Supervised) for a reason because the driver needs to be able to take over in case of an emergency. Yes, the software is great, but it’s not fully ready for hands free and eyes off the road driving yet…

FSD can be disengaged by a passenger. This is just a quick PSA to let people know that it is possible for someone sitting in the passenger seat to disable FSD while it's being used. I saw a post today (link below) where a couple was driving and the passenger unintentionally put the car into neutral while driving down a windy road - causing a minor accident. Truthfully I am not sure why it's even possible to put the car into neutral while it's driving, what is the reason that would be needed? Curious what everyone thinks of this?

How to ensure FSD takes your preferred route This may be obvious to some, but this is something I use everyday when I am driving home… normally FSD takes the “wrong” way home, so I used to have to disengage everytime and re engage FSD once I was on the proper road… but this little trick fixes that. I think as always it’s fair to talk about the good and the bad with each new version of FSD that comes out. It feels like FSD V14.2.2.4 is still struggling with speed control. I spent the majority of my drive tonight in standard and I found that on most straight stretches of road the car was going under the speed limit by a considerable amount (15kmh at times) Here’s a raw clip of the car driving between 60-67 kmh in a 70kmh zone with zero cars around it to slow it down. The road is well lit with traffic lights, so I don’t really see any reason at all to be driving this way. Let me know what you all think.

Tesla Self-Driving stops for an opossum crossing the road on a dark and foggy night. I hope this video really shows what an incredible job FSD did here. It slowed and then stopped for this little guy flawlessly! I 100% did not see it until after FSD had begun slowing down. Has anyone else had FSD slow for animals like this before? Okay this needs more extensive testing but on a 40 mile interstate loop I’m shocked by what Lucid Motors has done to Gravity. Hands Free Dream Drive is probably only second to Tesla FSD on HIGHWAY INTERSTATES. This is not FSD, but on this section of I-83 it’s damn close. It handles hands free driving, auto-lane changes & is assertive in doing so without being a left lane camper. How big is the footprint that it works? That’s the biggest question, but right now it’s really impressive. It’s beyond Ford BlueCruise, GM Supercruise & similar to Rivian UHF but the auto-lane changes without initiating by signaling is ahead.

I'm having a hard time organically getting FSD 14 into difficult situations. It seems to avoid trouble before it gets into it. For daily driving this is awesome. For playing around, I have to just drive up to road closed signs and turn FSD on lol

Once you use Tesla FSD it’s kinda hard to go back to regular driving. You just sit down, tap start, and the whole “drive there” part stops feeling like your job traffic still exists but it doesn’t really bother you the same way anymore You’re just along for the ride going back to manual driving feels like “wait… I have to do all this again?”
