this reminds me of the time when a flagger held up a stop sign, and FSD came to a stop. but as soon as the flagger took a step back and put the sign down, FSD resumed and the flagger shouted HEY! am i supposed to remain stopped even when they put down the sign?

Did you notice that the lane changes have gotten so bad in this version? Especially on the freeway. It seems like it’s scared of the left lane and always wants to move out of it and let other cars pass, even when there’s a wide open straight lane ahead.

We had something similar recently but it was a red light. Construction zone with flaggers at the intersection and moving traffic through the red light, the car executed perfectly.

Fascinating to be living it. My first Tesla experience was a rental on a Florida trip. Now, 24K on the 2026 Model Y. I'm hooked and the monthly C note is worth every farkin penny to this 66 yr old. While typing this I was reminded a window was not closed👍

I just realized u can lead fsd by signalling for lane change or pressing accelerator to nudge ahead or close gap without disengaging, thats a game changer for me

I rolled up the window after each 'stop' and held my hand out of the window at the end to try and keep the car from moving. Well this time I did none of that, and the car actually did better than last time. Incredible stuff - how do you all think Tesla AI has managed to do this?

FSD V14.1.7 | Near Accident This is without a doubt the closest I have come to getting into an accident in a long time. I think had I not taken over and slammed on the brakes we would not have slowed down in time. You can see that FSD does an incredible job reacting to the car (even before I noticed it) and was slowing down, but it was not slowing down enough to stop in time. As soon as I saw the car swerving to the right I worried she was going to bounce back into my lane so that is when I decided to go full on the brakes to stop the car. You can see prior to me taking over we were full regen braking (which is FSD reacting well) but it wasn't using any real brakes at all, and ABS was not active until I took over. Let me know what you all think in the comments. I still think FSD is incredible - the reality is if you watch the video the car saw and reacted to the situation before I did, it just didn't brake as agressively as it needed to in this situation. FSD + an attentive driver is without a doubt in my mind still safer than a normal human driver who is not using FSD.

FSD did not stop at the intersection. I drove 180 miles r/t to do this test and FSD was flawless the entire trip except for this intersection. I blame the speed limit, the bend in the road, the foliage, and the horrible design of this intersection. I still love FSD and wouldn’t have a car without it.

Gwinnett County Police received a citizen complaint about a vehicle that was reportedly speeding through a neighborhood and running a stop sign at the same time every morning. Officers responded by setting up in the area, and sure enough, the vehicle came through right on schedule doing exactly what had been reported. Sprinkle of Cybertruck FSD mishaps. FSD v14.2.1. FSD was getting ready to make a left turn. In fairness, I pushed the pedal as there still was time to make the turn before the oncoming car. However, I took the foot off and the truck came to a stop. Then when the turn was almost complete, FSD threw the red hands and the message said "Aborted with a system error." If you are wondering why I looked at the camera in between, I wanted to make sure it was recording the situation. I have hours of video footage I recorded while driving on FSD 14.2 and 14.2.1.

I stopped the car, but either way, it wasn’t a very “close” event, but still something that needed to be intervened. I didn’t feel as if it was a situation that I wanted the car to work itself through. I felt this was an instance when it was time to take any chance of a collision out of the question. I didn’t ever feel like one was going to happen because I knew I could stop at any time. We’ve put about 3,000 miles on the car since picking it up, a majority of those on FSD. For this to be the first real mistake it’s made, it’s not totally upsetting, but still a reminder that YOU as the driver are responsible.

Two reasons I disengage from Tesla FSD (HW4): 1.) I want FSD to take a diff route than suggested. Potential easy solution in the video: Just let me "draw" the route I wanna take. 2.) The full-stop at stop signs. I tap the accelerator when using FSD to do a rolling stop which is way more natural. The NHTSA made Tesla do the full-stop thing in 2022 and it's just annoying, especially when driving through a neighborhood with tons of stop signs. 🚨 Super cool thing Tesla FSD v14.1 did: it proceeded thru this intersection to turn left, but the light had gone to red before the turn could be completed. It put itself in reverse and backed up to the “Stop Here on Red” sign/line. Didn’t proceed at a red or impede others.

I hesitate posting this for a bunch of reasons, but I think it's good to just be transparent about everything. I love to highlight all of the incredible things that FSD does, but I also think it's good to talk about any issues that it has currently. In my opinion the E2E on the highway needs some major changes. This clip was from my drive yesterday, and it is without a doubt the most dangerous situation that FSD has put me in. Yes, I am aware that it is FSD Supervised - everything that happens in the car is ultimately my responsbility. I just was wanting to see what the car would do, and I was hoping that it would make a better decision to be honest. Let me know what you think.

And just like that here is an amazing video of FSD handling a dangerous situation extremely well! The tow truck pulled into the lane, FSD pulled over, slowed down, and moved over before hitting the sign. Very nice!
