FSD stays neatly behind it and sees a worker jump out. Before the truck has even come to a complete stop, FSD signals again and overtakes it. Incredible, how is this even possible?! 🤯

Sprinkle of Cybertruck FSD mishaps. FSD v14.2.1. FSD was getting ready to make a left turn. In fairness, I pushed the pedal as there still was time to make the turn before the oncoming car. However, I took the foot off and the truck came to a stop. Then when the turn was almost complete, FSD threw the red hands and the message said "Aborted with a system error." If you are wondering why I looked at the camera in between, I wanted to make sure it was recording the situation. I have hours of video footage I recorded while driving on FSD 14.2 and 14.2.1.

FSD did not stop at the intersection. I drove 180 miles r/t to do this test and FSD was flawless the entire trip except for this intersection. I blame the speed limit, the bend in the road, the foliage, and the horrible design of this intersection. I still love FSD and wouldn’t have a car without it.

FSD v14.3.7 doesn’t proceed on an advanced green This is the first time ever (?) that I have had FSD sit at a green light at not proceed. What’s also interesting is you can see the turn signal turn on for a second and then turn back off - but in the car the nav was 100% set to turn left. Any ideas? Right before my Cybertruck took off from the stop line, I saw a vehicle coming from the opposite direction. I was about to disengage FSD v13.2.2 because the road was so narrow. I wasn’t sure if FSD could handle it with the other vehicle coming. I’m glad I didn’t take over. It turned out to be a big wow.

🚨 Super cool thing Tesla FSD v14.1 did: it proceeded thru this intersection to turn left, but the light had gone to red before the turn could be completed. It put itself in reverse and backed up to the “Stop Here on Red” sign/line. Didn’t proceed at a red or impede others.

At 30 mph, FSD does not react ❌ At 20 mph, FSD swerves to avoid it ✅ Shoutout to Muzeïshen for trusting his life in my hands and AJ for being a witness that no harm was done This test was a bit spontaneous and will be improved in the future. I know that FSD still has trouble with suspended obstacles. But to be fair the wood was not clearly visible to me until about a couple of seconds before I intervened

FSD has completely forgotten how to handle this green left turn arrow FSD fights back if you try to hold the accelerator and in 2 of the 3 attempts this causes the wheel to fly around so much I have to grab it This is a major issue that generally results in a critical disengagement (either getting completely stuck at the light or becoming stranded in the intersection if the car goes the wrong way - either way confusing human traffic). Rarely the car does somewhat respond to the accelerator and can be coaxed through. FSD has never had this level of difficulty going through this intersection from this direction through 14.2.2.5

We are seeing lots of examples of FSD doing really well in the Netherlands, and that’s great. But from my own and my friends’ experience, I know that despite it doing great most of the time, it makes mistakes every now and then. I’d love for these to be shared too so we get a realistic view of EU FSD. Out of the 4 instances I experienced, I was only recording during one - and it was the most serious. The car turned left onto Wibautstraat, a big through-traffic street in Adam East. It then did something really weird: in the flow of traffic after a green light, it suddenly stopped in the middle of a crossing on the right side of the right lane (but blocking traffic from behind), despite the navigation directing it to continue on Wibautstraat. 🤷‍♂️

Reasoning is what really changed the game with FSD V14, and as they implement more of it, it’s going to be game over. Here’s a great example. FSD exits the parking lot of this coffee shop. If you zoom into the nav at the top right corner, you can see that it’s telling me to turn left (illegal to do so here). This has been a map error at this shop for a while. On all previous FSD versions, I’d disengage here as FSD would try to make the illegal left. With V14.2 reasoning, the car gathers context, understands it isn’t supposed to turn left here/ignores nav and triggers the re-route.

First, I just want to say if you ever feel like you need to disengage from FSD, you should do what you feel is necessary. However, there is a difference between what you THINK it would have done and what it ACTUALLY would have done. Here is a prime example in the video below. Some people would have disengaged when that white SUV crossed and said “FSD was about to go in front of that car.” But it didn’t; you just thought it would. And again with that silver crossover, some people would disengage there and say “OMG FSD almost pulled in front of a car.” But again, it didn’t; you just thought it would, so you disengage. Could this be improved? Absolutely, but the system is actually better than some people think for this exact reason.
