Full flaps, gear down, flare. Butter landing.

The other swans aren't gonna believe this

The aviation analogy in the caption is perfect because it's not really an analogy. This is the blueprint human engineers copied for seaplanes. Swans are among the heaviest flying birds, which makes landing a massive engineering challenge. That final "flare" with the wings is a critical airbrake maneuver, dramatically increasing drag to bleed off speed and ensure a low-impact touchdown. Then the "gear" deploys. Those huge, webbed feet are retractable hydrofoils. They allow the swan to hydroplane across the surface, smoothly dissipating an incredible amount of forward momentum without flipping over. A flawless execution of complex aerodynamics and hydrodynamics by a master pilot.

A Perfect Landing. Nose up attitude, Under Carriage in place & locked, Contact points of under carriage at a perfect angle & spread out, Slats, Flaps in place for drag & maintaining lift, finally a reverse thrust with the wings movement to slow down.

This is what “enough is enough” looks like 🤣

Imagine having to explain this to your insurance with no video 🐎

Not as easy as it looked.

The eyes closed landing is top notch! “I’m coommmiiingggg hummmmaaannn!

Very beautiful!

😍

I was an airline pilot for 34 years. I'm completely jealous.

This video reminded me of something….

And then, there's his cousin.....

Its not bird, It's flight. Nature gives all hints to invent big things admit this

Perfect 10/10 landing!🥰

Swans are strong and graceful fliers, even though they are large and heavy birds. They are capable of long-distance migrations, often flying in a V-formation at high altitudes and at speeds that can reach up to 96 kilometers per hour (60 mph). Swans achieve flight through the aerodynamic shape of their wings, which creates lift, allowing them to become airborne and fly faster than many other waterfowl.

So many, just pass by… Take a moment - ‘worlds within our world’ - fascinating.

Almost like he was born to do that. 🙃

Perfection

boeing take notes

OMG -simply superb!!

I'll simply say, where there's design, there's a designer.

Curved wings for controlling drag, using the alula to generate vortex flow and delay stall to control speed on landing

God is an incredible designer

I would fly that airline.

Wow perfect landing 🤩
