What you see in 1st video was after a couple of hours of Astra porting. This is what it looks like now. Blender optimized assets, car physics, police pursuits, missions, cutscenes, audio dialogue and more behaviors. Still very imperfect, but way better than v1. Keep in mind this is not building it from existing source code. People pointed out the PC source code is online, which I wasn't aware of and kind of takes the fun out of seeing Astra pick the game apart and attempt to rebuild it for web. There are still more things missing from the game. But you're looking at in total, around 7-8 hours of Astra picking apart the PS2 game files and attempting to rebuild in an environment this game was never intended to run in. Would the result have been better and taken less time if I used the leaked PC source code? For sure. But it wouldn't have been nearly as fun seeing Astra dig in and try piecing things together from scratch without the source.

I love the chicken game! Only available on roobet. Use code stevewilldoit and 100% of money generated goes to the players under code . I keep zero. We are still figuring out the details on how that works but haven’t checked the code in weeks it’s all for the players . This was my idea and roobet liked it so we are doing it . :)

A week or so ago - I found some leftover Destiny prototype code in Halo: Reach (MCC and 360) which allowed for double and triple jump and I was able to fix it up. I asked Zoephie to check if this code was left in Halo Campaign Evolved, surprisingly it is and it works.

Introducing TinyClaw 🦞 OpenClaw in 400 LoC OpenClaw🦞 is great, but it breaks all the time. So I recreated OpenClaw🦞 with just a shell script in ~400 lines of code using Claude Code and tmux. Everything works! WhatsApp channels, heartbeat system, cron jobs, and it uses your existing Claude Code plugins and setup. It’s super stable and extremely easy to deploy compared to openclaw, just install Claude Code!

When I first saw this game in the arcade, I thought it was similar to OutRun. But instead of running on a fixed circuit, you follow a straight course, which makes racing really fun. It was only released on the Nintendo 64 in North America, so only NA gamers knew about it. It never came out in Asia, and the region code was different, so there was no way to play it back then. Nowadays, you can run it using EverDrive or code-free mods.

I wrote some code! It renders frames to a virtual canvas and then distributes packets over WiFi to ESP32 modules that receive them to make up a larger display. So you could make a jumbotron out of a bunch of ESP32s and one PC. Code can be found on Github, and would love to get your suggestions on it!

I installed a new Visual Studio Code extension to help me write code. But this extension doesn't get in your way. It doesn't try to write code for you. It only gives you hints and recommendations about your code. I like that. Like a second pair of eyes, looking over my shoulder and telling me how I can do things better. The extension is Traycer. You can install it directly from inside Visual Studio Code. It's free forever for anyone working on open-source projects (and if you aren't, you can use it for free until the end of June.) I recorded a super-duper-quick video to show you how this extension works. I know code generation is a huge thing, but I really appreciate tools that help me do what I do better. Thanks to the Traycer team for helping me with the extension and collaborating with me on this post!

Had GPT4 write some p5.js code in openprocessing to take a video I'd made with AI and add sliders (on the left) to add and adjust ghosting, displacement, and a 'difference' layer. It's a very rough start, but excited to know things like this are possible :)
