This isn’t a problem I can fix alone and only by working with others in the space around the world will the tide start to change. Little Casey was clinging onto life and wouldn’t have made it had it not been for the support of “Little Steps Matter”This is the sort of work they do on a daily basis and I wanted to highlight it today as we have some great news… 🇮🇩 They are now an official parter with Happy Doggo our new charity which makes them our 6th in Asia and 2nd in Indonesia ✂️ We will be funding their sterilizing programme on the ground in Bali. This will help 100s of dogs and prevent the future suffering of thousands. 🏡 I visited them in December and the work they do and the dogs they save with a focus on helping dogs on the street is remarkable. A wonderful team 🤝 The quickest way I could think of helping street dogs at scale around the world was funding partners like @littlestepsmatter . This isn’t a problem I can fix alone and only by working with others in the space around the world will the tide start to change. Daniel reveals how he bought his $220,000 dream G Wagon with kids channel on YouTube Jack: “What's the craziest way you've made money on YouTube?” Daniel: “I just wrapped up running a channel around like 3 weeks ago for a new YouTube video I made. Second video, 5 million views. Third video, 4 million views.” Daniel: “In the middle of the video, we would abruptly stop and we would be like, 'Subscribe if you want a pizza, like if you want a tomato, comment if you want an apple, and do all if you want your family to like live forever or some shit like that.' It was like really, really, really like brain rot, but it worked so well. We were getting like 100,000 subscribers a week.” Daniel: “I essentially realized that little kids don't have their own devices. They use their parents' devices to watch content. And so when a little kid is using their parents' device to watch a video, their parent is registered as a 30 or 40 year old. And so our entire audience demographic was 80% USA 40 year old viewers. And YouTube would essentially think that these are high trust advertisers.” Daniel: “We essentially tricked YouTube because getting kids to watch videos is super easy. It's not that hard. And our RPM was like 35 cents per video. And in the first week of that channel, we made $4,000. We paid an editor, I promise you, $5 per video. So, for a week, we uploaded seven videos. Again, I could be coping and this is just my speculation. #EscapefromTarkov BSG has posted downtime for 3 hours a bit ago. Whereas this seems like a reasonable maintenance, I think it could be 'Actual' Kolotun event. Nikita loves saying 'we love to give you surprises' and i think we are getting one soon. Speculation point #1. We have not yet unlock the New achievement. (image 1 - makes me think we might get super blizzard, etc.) Speculation point #2. There's cultist on top of the church of the poster for the kolotun event, indicating we still need to go to church & meet cultist (image 2, could be red herring tho) Speculation point #3 As i said earlier, nikita wants surprises. In order to do that, they dropped not too much entertaining event quests as of now, To maximize further incoming BIG EVENT. They've done this before. An excerpt from my upcoming new book, 'Breaking Point': " My informant and I had a huge falling out because, according to them, I had “jumped the gun” by putting out the story as quickly as I did. This grouse seemed incomprehensible to me since it was a time-sensitive case. By putting out the story when I did, the deliberate attempt to bungle the prosecution and astroturf the narrative around the crime was stopped dead in its tracks, and the case was taken away from the hopelessly corrupt Akwa Ibom State Police Command to the Force Headquarters in Abuja. I expected my informant to see things from this point of view, but it soon became clear that their motive for giving me that information had nothing to do with obtaining justice for an innocent young murder victim, and everything to do with embarrassing a politician who was linked by implication to the crime. It turned out that my informant wanted me to sit on the story until the 2023 elections began approaching so that they could deploy my journalistic work as a battering ram to hurt said politician’s campaign. This was my first - but by no means my last - experience of working with a whistleblower or informant whose motivation for providing important information was selfish and mischievous. Quickly, I learned that in Nigeria, almost nobody has any concept of “public interest” or “social good.” I could expect everyone’s motivations to be small, petty, and selfish. If I wanted to keep getting information from Nigerian whistleblowers, I would need to learn to be just as cynical as they were, often promising to use the information they provided for their desired narrative or on their desired timeline, only to publish a story whose content, timing and motivation had no such alignments. When they would furiously try to reach me to find out why I published a story that was not aligned with their selfish agenda, they would suddenly discover the finality behind the “block” button.
