The new Giga Texas Optimus factory foundation work continues with three distinct sections under construction. On the south end of what I think may be phase 1 of the construction, the large depressed graded area has had about .5 to 1 meters of gravel and crushed concrete added and now GeoPier equipment is at work. Another major construction project at Tesla Giga Texas today is the new test track on the far SW of the property! A large “oval” like outer track with what looks like a smaller oval track is definitely taking shape, and of course there will be support structures and more added as this project continues to make progress. Overall, the amount of construction around the Giga Texas project is approaching the original effort to make the main factory almost 6 years ago! It’s hard to keep track of it all, but I’m trying! Such an amazing story that has been, & continues to happen here just east of Austin!

At the Giga Texas Test Track, we see some of it is being used now, with railed lanes, a long line of rumble strips, paint marks & cones … these are in the area where I showed a ground video yesterday of Cybercabs testing with acceleration runs. I’ve included a portion of that video in this one showing the location on the track. Speaking of Cybercab testing, we see 7 set up along with a trailer, that looks like the LIDAR testing rigs that usually we see on the roofs of vehicles driving around streets for camera validation testing & more in what seems to be a temporary dedicated testing facility until a more permanent one is completed. Still more asphalt work to complete the inner portions fo the track, but it is definitely partially operational now and being used! Very nice to see!

More Sentez | Geopier work creating piers in the ground to support the future structure, defined earthwork in the middle section and more grade work on the N & S sides of the construction site! This is going to be fun to watch come together!

Having driven down to Maphisa yesterday to celebrate the 46th anniversary of Zimbabwe’s Independence I remain deeply concerned about the state of the road to Maphisa. Although construction work has been done on virtually the whole length of the road it is nowhere near finished. In fact for much of the length of the road all that has been done is the grading of either side of what used to be narrow tar. The narrow bridges remain the same and the old narrow tar is in very bad condition. In fact most the road was extremely dangerous. I recognize that contractors are still on site and had parked their construction vehicles to facilitate the high volume of traffic yesterday, so remain hopeful that they will remain on the road until it has been completed all the way from Bulawayo to Maphisa. My fear is that now that Independence Day is over that the contractors will move elsewhere leaving most of the road in a worse state than it was before the work started. I have already had one report of construction vehicles being moved to Masvingo and hope that isn’t going to be a trend. I call on Government to confirm that construction will continue along the entire length of the road and to give an indication when it expects the road to be finished.

'No Self Control', released in May 1980 was the second single from 'PG3'. This performance is from Top of the Pops. "Steve Reich had done this wonderful record called ‘Music for Eighteen Musicians’, which involved marimbas and I think, of all the ‘systems’ composers, his work had a lot of textures and colours and grooves to them that I really responded to. So I tried to involve elements of that in the work. I also worked with a wonderful percussionist Morris Pert and ‘No Self Control’ would be one track, which integrated some of those things and a band sound as well."

Construction in multiple locations continues at Giga Texas today as the test track takes shape & features really begin to emerge (might be a great place to demo the new Roadster 🤔🤠). On the E side, the site clearing for the new Advanced Technology Fab is underway, with more demo of old structures, material movement & River Rd extension next to where the Riverpark will be constructed next to the Colorado River. The CFIA is doing a terrible job caring for these ostriches. They leave garbage lying around, the families truck and trailer are stuck inside the seized area and are unusable and birds have been getting caught up in feedbags and twine. The birds would be much better off in the care of the framers that love them.

I’ve seen some bad repairs in my day, but I think this takes the cake not only does it look unsure but it’s rather unsafe looking too. Imagine going into the attack to fix something, insulation would be everywhere blocking visibility of the shoddy work. I don’t think this would support anyone standing on it. This guy was repairing his ceiling and cut out some drywall and this is what he found. I’m guessing the previous homeowner did this, I don’t see any contractors signing off on this unless this was an inexperienced handyman. Regardless, I wouldn’t settle for this level of work, I would just rip it out and fix it right, might as well get it done since most of the ceiling is already exposed. Anyone who would do work like this isn’t fit to work on houses period.

Lost Soul Aside reportedly had a budget of just $8 million. Considering that and the small team of around 40 people they actually did a commendable job with the combat. Some of these boss fights and cinematics look very much AAA. The low budget definitely shows in some areas like the VA but combat isn't one of them. I think the biggest issue is the price point, this would have been better off as a $40-50 game.

Not only is it an unappealing work environment for a native young person, who would prefer to work with their peers, but it is also seen as becoming tainted and low-status.
