Hard to say for sure, but production of the $59K AWD Cybertruck may be just getting started here on this early and soggy morning at Giga Texas … this version is much harder to visually distinguish from the premium AWD versions, so I’ll come back on Wednesday and we’ll see if this is in fact happening. I hope so as there are many new Cybertruck owners eager to get their truck! Cybercab production is also proceeding slowly as Tesla told us it would be early on, but there are still dozens of new Cybercabs in the outbound lot today. I hope we start seeing more of these soon & perhaps introduction into the Tesla Robotaxi fleet soon. I (along with many others) want to give them a try!

The outbound lot at Giga Texas is overflowing with Model Y’s, Cybertruck and Cybercabs! The sorting lanes near the EOL facility are all full and the line of new cars extends to the Cybertunnel and even further south! Production of the “standard” AWD Cybertruck is underway and visible, which supports posts of new owners being assigned VINs. Expected first deliveries of these lower cost AWD trucks should begin by June! Cybercabs were driving around, doing figure 8’s on the small track & being loaded onto transport trucks! Check it out!

It’s the last production day of 2025 at Giga Texas & it seems to be a Model Y Performance day to boot! I’ve added a real time video showing the pace of vehicles exiting the factory, but with a new twist. The cars are being driven out of the factory and down the ramp by employees, then autonomously about 1.3 miles to the West End of Line facility for final processing. This may be due to interior preparations for upgrades and maintenance on the production lines over the next few weeks. In any case, enjoy these views of a rare Friday production day!

Giga Texas today is busy with production coming back up following the long weekend. Of interest today in the outbound lot is the appearance of hundreds of Mode; YL’s and many more Cybercabs and for the 1st time equipped with the Starlink module one the hatch in big numbers. At the Cybercab Launch Event last week, I talked to some employees who were very proud of the production ramp of the Model YLs and were looking forward to me flying to show you just how well the ramp is going! With the Cybercabs starting to be produced off the production line with the Starlink addition to the hatch, this may show that this has moved from the conceptual and testing phase to more of a production phase with the appropriate tooling and DIE changes rather than being retrofitted. Check out a Model YLs parked next to Cybercabs for a sense of the scale between the two vehicles!

Fresh off the heels of being granted a temporary restraining order in the legal dispute with Angstrom Automotive, it looks like Cybertruck production has made a bit of a rebound today at the Giga Texas outbound lot! Many (perhaps 100 or more) were parked all over the lot today, some intermixed with Model Y’s and a few Cybercabs, others in groups by themselves, more autonomously driving to the EOL facility for processing and many at the Direct Delivery center. It’s great to see this & I hope signals a new ramp of Cybertruck production!

Just 2 weekends left until the end of the 3rd Quarter and the Giga Texas outbound lot is overflowing with Model YL’s (must be quite popular) and many Cybertruck too. Anecdotally, I am hearing deliveries have been strong this quarter, so we will find out for sure in just about 2 weeks. A new grouping of Cybercabs on the W side of the EOL facility, but not a significant number coming off the production line as far as I can tell right now. This is awesome for Europe! Battery cell production right at Giga Berlin this year. And don’t forget Tesla has a lithium refinery running in Texas and the nickel cathode refinery going strong in Austin, so this year is shaping up to be absolutely massive, with five major production lines hitting volume. This is what it looks like to drive right next to a Model Y with literally no-one in the car. Pretty cool. This Model Y is driving itself from the end of the Giga Texas production line to its designated lane at the outbound lot. Note: This is not the quicksilver Model Y that drove itself completely autonomously to a customer in Austin today. This Ultra Red Model Y below will be shipped elsewhere.

Over 70 Cybercabs in the Giga Texas outbound lot today in three major areas & driving around! I think this is now the largest single gathering of Cybercabs I’ve observed! I’m also trying to gauge if the $59K Cybertruck production is underway & although there are more in the outbound lot in several different locations, it is really hard to tell. Honestly, I would like to see a lot more coming out of the factory if we will begin seeing deliveries beginning next month, if that is still the plan, but for now the production rate still seems a bit modest. I know they are working hard to ramp up at the same time they are also trying to ramp up Cybercab production.

Cybercab entering into the Giga Texas production line exit this morning & we see many more castings have been made … all 3 that are used for the basic structure of the body that is part of the “unboxed” process”. We are just over 50 day s from when initial production is expected to begin. With testing of the Cybercab in multiple states and cities, crash testing & evaluation work already completed, all these castings, & production line run through tests, we are getting very close to seeing many more of these around the factory!

It’s Friday the 13th at Giga Texas and the only thing “frightening” might be for those coming to compete with the Tesla Cybercab as there were at least a half dozen different Cybercabs driving and testing production processes today. Some were at the factory exit, some near the W EOL facility & Cybertunnel, and others were supercharging, now in groups! To me, this is a great sign that the production line/areas are really getting dialed in, test production is ramping up a bit, & as we’ve seen from other posts, many Cybercabs are out in Austin & many other cities actively testing the Tesla Robotaxi service, getting ready for April!

Demand for Cybertruck is clearly ramping. Just days after the $59,990 dual-motor AWD announcement, delivery estimates are slipping from June to October. That’s a 3-4 month pushback in a matter of days, which tells me orders are pouring in. And to be honest… I’m not surprised. I’ve been saying this since day one, when I placed my order at the 2019 unveil. The Cybertruck is the best Tesla ever made. Now it’s finally hitting a price point where the value matches what it delivers for people - durability, performance, utility, and alien tech all in one. The world is starting to see what I saw from the beginning.
