Godzilla Dance Remastered Edition Remember that old video that Balena Productions for his friend's birthday, well, it's defiantly an iconic one. So I thought I'd do a version with a modern 2014 Godzilla model.

GODZILLA The Game [PS4] - Ah, good times. Good times. Essentially a #Godzilla action-game simulator that emulated the classic Toho films. Originally released for the PS3 back in Dec 2014 before being ported over to the PS4 during 2015 within a next-gen definitive edition with expanded content, kaiju, and online multiplayer. it's fun! It did decent business in Japan critically and commercially, however its poor reception with NA and EU critics had nearly killed any Godzilla centric videogame business - leaving Godzilla to instead find success and profit only through videogame collabs and crossovers. Godzilla Voxel Wars is Toho's most recent Godzilla centric videogame for consoles via Nintendo Switch, Epic Games, and Steam.

I never noticed that I animated Shin Godzilla in such a silly/creepy way, at least not in the beginning. Then I started leaning into it. I figured I'd put together a supercut of all the times I animated him. It's fun seeing him try his best to make a friend. My favorite bit is him getting pissed at Toy Rex for breaking his present!

I took my 12yo grandson to see Godzilla Minus One in the theater. He was of course excited, but I was a little concerned because would it be too scary. The WHOLE MOVIE he was sitting forward in his seat, his hands gripping the armrests, staring unblinking, jaw agape. He was picking up on stuff I didn't get. But you need to know my grandson has an eidetic (photographic) memory. So I'm watching it, and there's a report that Godzilla is seen near Giza. Big deal I think, but my grandson gasps and says "Oh no!" Because HE had remembered that the girl got a job in Giza. But I had not. When it ended, I asked my grandson if it was too scary. He said, breathlessly, "No!" Then I asked him what was the best part, and he said, "Every part was the best part." I reluctantly had to say that despite my great love for the original 1954 movie, Godzilla Minus One beats it. Two other facts: 1) The IJN Takao was a real ship which survived the war. It even survived Leyte Gulf! 2) Godzilla Minus One cost less than $15 million. We could have made 25 of them for the cost of Avatar: The Way of Water. Or 15 for the cost of Wakanda Forever. Godzilla Minus One punked the American movie system so hard.

This issue fans keep seeing the MonsterVerse run into with WinGoji VS Gare/DougheGoji is that 2014 establishes Godzilla as neutral, but KOTM expands upon this by revealing him to be as heroic as he was in the 1960s/70s films. The comics and novelizations around the time double down on this, & from 2014 until 2021, Godzilla was seen as primarily a HERO. But, in GVK, they emphasize that Godzilla will, almost at random (like in Hong Kong), go heel & destroy things, kill people that he could have avoided, & attack innocent heroic or neutral monsters for his own personal gain. Is it more like his Toho portrayal? Sure. But it abandons the progress and expansion of the character made in King of the Monsters. Oh, hey, I made a video all about this. You should watch it:
