Hard not to love this job when you get to create work like this with founders every day. I don’t know how to do it any other way than all in. That means pushing past scope. Spending extra time on the detail no one asked for. Perfecting the one element that elevates everything else. Sometimes it means I lose in margins but in reality, it’s the reason the next client shows up. Work you’re genuinely proud of doesn’t just ship… it compounds.

It’s Saturday morning so going to unabashedly crowdsource. If any of the much smarter than me homeowners out there can listen to this sound, it’s coming from our attic periodically and sounds like a man with a leaf blower is just hanging out up there. No AC/Heat is on. It’s in a pretty inaccessible part of the attic. Local to this area of the home. Completely confused as to what it could be. Sounds like a pump or motor.

The k- drama We Are All Trying Here is a must watch I know some people will watch one episode and call it boring. Because It’s not fast paced. It’s slice of life in the most literal sense people sitting in rooms with their envy, their 20 year old dreams that never launched, their friends who made it while they didn’t. It’s quiet. It’s slow. It lingers on silences. But that’s exactly why it gutted me. Because this show understands the war you don’t talk about. The one where you open Instagram at 2am and feel like a failure. Where you’ve been “trying” for years and the world still doesn’t know your name. Hwang Dong-man, twenty years into film school, still no debut. Byeon Eun-ah, called “The Axe” because she has to kill other people’s dreams for a living. Everyone in this drama is carrying some private worthlessness, some comparison they can’t shake. It’s not entertaining in the way K-dramas usually are. It’s uncomfortable. It holds up a mirror to the parts of you that feel behind, bitter, unseen. But that’s why it’s so relatable. That’s why I think everyone should watch it. On the outside, life looks fine but inside, everyone is struggling in their own way. And I think that’s what makes it so relatable. We all smoke our way, for now I have mastered the art of the glass tip cone style. It’s not a specialty roll by any means, but it’s consistent for me. I don’t have the fine hand coordination nor the patience to fuck up a hand roll when I can do this pretty easily and it smokes as proper as a good hand roll. When I have more time away from serving, I’ll practice hand rolling but this is how I smoke.

Fixed this small bug in Linear’s app today which I often see in other apps as well. Here’s a small before/after. The issue: When you open a popover inside a modal (think a custom select), clicking outside the popover to close it also closes the modal. The desired behavior is to close the select on click outside while keeping the modal open. This often happens because custom dropdowns or select components are rendered in a portal. The modal then treats the interaction as an outside click because, technically, the dropdown isn’t inside the modal in the DOM, it’s rendered elsewhere via a portal. The fix depends on your setup, whether it’s Radix/Base UI, fully custom etc. But since you now know the cause of it, you can ask your agent to fix it for you!

This is what I’m talking about. This isn’t to highlight Bentancur. It’s how 90% of teams and players behave for I’d say 70% of the game. But what are we trying to achieve here? The best thing that can happen from any phase of play, is to score a goal. So that’s the overall objective. To do that, the ball at some stage has to go behind every single opposition player and space has to be exploited whether it’s big or small. But Bentancur here is waiting. Waiting for players to move. Waiting for opposition to move. But why would Newcastle move? They don’t need to break from their shape. But imagine what would happen if Bentancur travelled with the ball into those open spaces. Newcastle and spurs players aren’t just going to watch, it’s going to instigate a chain reaction of movement from both sides. And that will in turn break up shapes which creates gaps. Then it’s if you are confident and able to exploit. But just waiting doesn’t achieve it. Imagine the disruption you will cause if both the ball player, and off ball players look to provoke the opposition as opposed to rigidly stand in shape. It’s just logical. If you stay still. Why does the opposition need to move? So what pictures are changing? What gaps are you opening? What gaps are you exploiting? This video rubs me the wrong way. It’s a dangerous attitude that I see often among people whose confidence is greater than their competence. In climbing, it’s common courtesy to offer “beta” to other climbers. Beta is useful information about a route that usually isn’t found in guidebooks or online. One key piece of beta can save you a lot of trouble, so smart climbers—even professional guides—will take all they can get. 99.9% of the time, when someone offers beta—whether to a man or woman—they’re just trying to help. I get that sexism and "mansplaining" exist, but when you’re engaged in a high-consequence activity, it’s time to check your defensiveness and become a sponge for information. This post isn't just about climbing: God gave us 2 ears and only 1 mouth for a reason... 👂People who listen avoid trouble and more importantly, they learn. Observe the very best at any endeavor and you'll see that they're sponges, never too good to learn something new.

The real story of our success in Port Coquitlam isn’t just that we now have the lowest average property taxes and utility fees of any city in the region, it’s also that we achieved it while improving the services people rely on every day. Take curbside glass pickup. Not long ago, residents had to load up their cars and drive to a depot. It was inconvenient, and the result was predictable: too much glass ended up in blue bins or the garbage. So we fixed it. Today, curbside glass pickup is delivered directly to homes that receive City waste services. It’s done efficiently, reliably, and by our own crews. It was inconvenient, and the result was predictable: too much glass ended up in blue bins or the garbage. So we fixed it. Today, curbside glass pickup is delivered directly to homes that receive City waste services. It’s done efficiently, reliably, and by our own crews. It’s a better service, it’s easier for residents, and it’s the kind of practical improvement that makes a real difference in people’s lives. I try my best to not talk about Irish politics, but getting sent things like this by my Garda friends just angers me too much. This happened today. The police (Gardai) in Ireland have been attacked and bullied by scumbags for years now. They know they can get away with it. Stripped of any power to do anything about it. The Gardai are trained to retreat and not engage when violence breaks out. This is what happens when you remove your police forces ability to police. The Gardai voted with an enormous majority vote of no confidence against the head of the Gardai. Our minister for justice ignored them. Overworked, underpayed, and stripped of any protection in policing. I know policing in America is a sore topic for good reason. Ye are on the other side of the spectrum. Too much power. This is what happens when you swing to the other side. Chaos. I’m ashamed of how Ireland is being governed. A failed socialist state. It’s why I left, and it’s why I won’t be going back any time soon. Helen McEntee, you need to resign.

Hello Midnight🅓🅡🅔🅐🅜🅔🅡 let me quickly share from my perspective as well~ 1. During Food Support, there are so many boxes coming. Not only come for JoongDunk or staff, but from all cast fanbases as well. So it’s really important to differentiate each box clearly to avoid confusion. There are a lot of time, Artist/Staff don’t have decent time to eat so they need to grab the food fast so it’s actually what’s advised- minimizing human error. (You can see other Artist are also putting their stickers individually). I know it maybe everyone’s first time in sending food support, it’s shocking and hectic at the same time. So i understand the frustration as you only want to rely support for both. So what i can advise you, you can add on SHARE BOX. There you can send message for Staff or even Dunk (if you send from JOT, sorry it was written in Thai for staff Summer Night at that time) 2. Each of fanbase is given the rights to send food support and to avoid unnecessary food waste, it’s not advised to send for both from one fanbase all the time. There are many times, since Joong and Dunk appreciate fans food support but cant finish them and they have to bring it home (Joong’s mom sometimes share about this or sometimes i saw managers bring their food support box to their cars). But not all the time, they can bring it home, right? Especially if the shooting take the whole day. Other than our food supporty, there are also food provide from other fanbase and also mandatory provided from the company. So always try to discuss with official~ If somehow you are looking for sending both JoongDunk, i advised sending Food Truck instead (if possible, though the cue is as rare as gem). Usually Food Truck is advised to send as CP Project (that’s at least from what i experience from THK) >> Since we have so many cast during DYTD, let’s wait for official consideration. Feel free to join whenever your heart is happy~ 3. I hope this doesn’t discourage you in doing anything for JoongDunk. Your concern is matter and thank you for advising it. There are still many things you can do to support them, feel free to ask me if you need some advise ❤️
