Hard not to love this job when you get to create work like this with founders every day. I don’t know how to do it any other way than all in. That means pushing past scope. Spending extra time on the detail no one asked for. Perfecting the one element that elevates everything else. Sometimes it means I lose in margins but in reality, it’s the reason the next client shows up. Work you’re genuinely proud of doesn’t just ship… it compounds.

Hard not to love this job when you get to create work like this with founders every day. I don’t know how to do it any other way than all in. That means pushing past scope. It’s Saturday morning so going to unabashedly crowdsource. If any of the much smarter than me homeowners out there can listen to this sound, it’s coming from our attic periodically and sounds like a man with a leaf blower is just hanging out up there. No AC/Heat is on. It’s in a pretty inaccessible part of the attic. Local to this area of the home. Completely confused as to what it could be. Sounds like a pump or motor.

The k- drama We Are All Trying Here is a must watch I know some people will watch one episode and call it boring. Because It’s not fast paced. It’s slice of life in the most literal sense people sitting in rooms with their envy, their 20 year old dreams that never launched, their friends who made it while they didn’t. It’s quiet. It’s slow. It lingers on silences. But that’s exactly why it gutted me. Because this show understands the war you don’t talk about. The one where you open Instagram at 2am and feel like a failure. Where you’ve been “trying” for years and the world still doesn’t know your name. Hwang Dong-man, twenty years into film school, still no debut. Byeon Eun-ah, called “The Axe” because she has to kill other people’s dreams for a living. Everyone in this drama is carrying some private worthlessness, some comparison they can’t shake. It’s not entertaining in the way K-dramas usually are. It’s uncomfortable. It holds up a mirror to the parts of you that feel behind, bitter, unseen. But that’s why it’s so relatable. That’s why I think everyone should watch it. On the outside, life looks fine but inside, everyone is struggling in their own way. And I think that’s what makes it so relatable. We all smoke our way, for now I have mastered the art of the glass tip cone style. It’s not a specialty roll by any means, but it’s consistent for me. I don’t have the fine hand coordination nor the patience to fuck up a hand roll when I can do this pretty easily and it smokes as proper as a good hand roll. When I have more time away from serving, I’ll practice hand rolling but this is how I smoke.

So Kate, NOW it’s "I love this album" about Harry his KATTDO release, NOW you’re dancing to Dance No More, NOW you’re suddenly listening to Zayn his newest song Sideways… and I’m supposed to believe this is genuine? Because let’s not rewrite history here. You NEVER engaged with any of them. Not once. Not when Louis had the premiere of All of Those Voices, not when Niall and Liam were literally together, not at any point where it would’ve actually made sense. No support, no acknowledgment, nothing. Just silence. But now suddenly it’s loud? And what makes it even worse is you couldn’t even show HALF of this energy for your own "love of your life" Liam when he released music. No proper posts, no real support, nothing consistent. But suddenly for Harry and Zayn you’re present, expressive, engaged? Be serious. And let’s be very clear… you’re not winning directioners over with this. You’re not winning solo fans over either. You don’t get to suddenly tap into their music after everything, after the silence, after lying about being a One Direction fan, and expect people to just accept it like it’s normal. It’s not. Fixed this small bug in Linear’s app today which I often see in other apps as well. Here’s a small before/after. The issue: When you open a popover inside a modal (think a custom select), clicking outside the popover to close it also closes the modal. The desired behavior is to close the select on click outside while keeping the modal open. This often happens because custom dropdowns or select components are rendered in a portal. The modal then treats the interaction as an outside click because, technically, the dropdown isn’t inside the modal in the DOM, it’s rendered elsewhere via a portal. The fix depends on your setup, whether it’s Radix/Base UI, fully custom etc. But since you now know the cause of it, you can ask your agent to fix it for you!

The best thing that can happen from any phase of play, is to score a goal. So that’s the overall objective. To do that, the ball at some stage has to go behind every single opposition player and space has to be exploited whether it’s big or small. But Bentancur here is waiting. Waiting for players to move. Waiting for opposition to move. But why would Newcastle move? They don’t need to break from their shape. But imagine what would happen if Bentancur travelled with the ball into those open spaces. Newcastle and spurs players aren’t just going to watch, it’s going to instigate a chain reaction of movement from both sides. And that will in turn break up shapes which creates gaps. Then it’s if you are confident and able to exploit. But just waiting doesn’t achieve it. Imagine the disruption you will cause if both the ball player, and off ball players look to provoke the opposition as opposed to rigidly stand in shape. It’s just logical. If you stay still. Why does the opposition need to move? So what pictures are changing? What gaps are you opening? What gaps are you exploiting? I think it’s about time I hire a packer. It’s getting really difficult to keep up with all the packing. The problem is, I’m kind of stuck right now. I have little ones at home, so I really don’t want someone coming into my garage to work. At the same time, I’m not at the level yet where I can justify leasing a small warehouse. So I’m between a rock and a hard place. For those of you who’ve been through this stage, what did you do? Any ideas to help me speed this up and get by until I’m ready for a small warehouse?

Today, curbside glass pickup is delivered directly to homes that receive City waste services. It’s done efficiently, reliably, and by our own crews. It’s a better service, it’s easier for residents, and it’s the kind of practical improvement that makes a real difference in people’s lives. It was inconvenient, and the result was predictable: too much glass ended up in blue bins or the garbage. So we fixed it. Today, curbside glass pickup is delivered directly to homes that receive City waste services. It’s done efficiently, reliably, and by our own crews. It’s a better service, it’s easier for residents, and it’s the kind of practical improvement that makes a real difference in people’s lives. It’s just one example of what’s possible happens when you stay relentlessly focused on core municipal services, and you’re willing to constantly assess, improve, and adapt. We believe that good government isn’t about doing less or doing more — it’s about doing what matters, and doing it well.

I try my best to not talk about Irish politics, but getting sent things like this by my Garda friends just angers me too much. This happened today. The police (Gardai) in Ireland have been attacked and bullied by scumbags for years now. They know they can get away with it. Stripped of any power to do anything about it. The Gardai are trained to retreat and not engage when violence breaks out. This is what happens when you remove your police forces ability to police. The Gardai voted with an enormous majority vote of no confidence against the head of the Gardai. Our minister for justice ignored them. Overworked, underpayed, and stripped of any protection in policing. I know policing in America is a sore topic for good reason. Ye are on the other side of the spectrum. Too much power. This is what happens when you swing to the other side. Chaos. I’m ashamed of how Ireland is being governed. A failed socialist state. It’s why I left, and it’s why I won’t be going back any time soon. Helen McEntee, you need to resign.
