It’s all about the players make up. Talent does not automatically go hand and hand with grit, discipline, and commitment. The players I’ve coached who reached their potential worked harder than everyone around them regardless of their talent. They loved the task of preparation.

Love it coach! I always try to get guys to go through the point of failure! They are always amazed at how far that might be. Do that and the game can slow way down for you 🔥

You Don’t. At a young age they will most naturally do something like this. It’s unfortunate that most will coach it out of them. Here’s my son. Was told to stop this 100 times. lol.

Hitting portion 15u practice. Theme: tempo (slow, methodical, under control, w/ flow). Drill progression: (1) tee - pitcher knee lift (2) tee - 👣 together slow-mo (3) tee - 👣 together “take” or “hit” (4) toss - change-up toss (5) toss - “take” or “hit” (6) machine - push/drag.
