$GOOGL launched Gemini 3.5 Flash which it says beats Gemini 3.1 Pro across coding, real-world agentic tasks & scaled tool use. Artificial Analysis shows it running at 289 output tokens/sec which is more than 4x faster than Claude Opus 4.7 & GPT-5.5.

As a tech nerd my first thought was.. What a time to be alive

Google is the only company that can monetize AI across search, shopping, hardware, enterprise, and subscriptions simultaneously. The stock has already run 140% in a year - so the easy money may be gone. But if even half of today’s announcements stick, the growth story has years left.

Bullish $GOOG

289 tokens per second is impressive until your agentic workflow makes 40 tool calls and waits on external APIs

Speed numbers are wild. But the real move today is the Search box

Inference speed matters more than benchmarks for agentic tasks. A fast model that's 90% as capable often beats a slow model that's 95% capable in real-world pipelines. 289 tokens/sec makes Gemini 3.5 Flash genuinely compelling for anything latency-sensitive.

Can it link to ghseets yet

lmao cluade hahahaha keep nerfing

289 tok/s in production is exactly the kind of latency unlock that makes agent loops viable at scale. The real question is whether those speed gains hold under complex multi-step tool calls versus isolated benchmark runs.

Speed is not an advantage when garbage in garbage out is operative. Too much vibe coding. All the geniuses are abandoning ship

Speed demon vibes only

As expected.

For stock investors the main question here is: what company has the greatest moat (pricing power and switching costs) Technological leadership has never been a durable moat. Nowhere. $GOOG $MSFT or $AMZN are diversified hyperscalers with a durable moat. $NBIS or $MU are not.

Love this, mate - good on Google, 289 tokens/sec is wild. Have you tried it on any real projects yet?

gemini the goat

This is huge news bro. The tech advancements Google is making are insane.

Google is no longer playing catch-up in AI

Inference speed is becoming a strategic advantage as AI systems move toward autonomous workflows.
