Okay, this one is the Grok Imagine version. But here’s something you need to note: I uploaded the character sheet I made with Nano Banana Pro as the base image. So it feels like this fake “Omni reference” kind of style, but it works 😄 Somehow, it’s much more consistent than uploading a still image of your scene with your character, because there’s a chance your character will morph a bit. By using your character sheet as the base model, it helps maintain consistency. The only problem is that when you do the img2vid prompt, you need to retell the setting, the action, the vibe and so on. But for me, I kind of like that approach, LOL 😆 Like I said, I’m getting lazy about animating images one by one. With this approach, I can just focus on dividing the shots, like shot 1: blabla, shot 2: bliblibli, shot 3: blublu, etc. Now for the comparison: In comparison with the Kling 3.0 Omni version, I feel that Grok Imagine is much more dynamic. But in terms of the character performance, it feels a bit over the top. It’s like the AI characters are acting it out 😁 Meanwhile, Kling 3.0 Omni feels much more realistic in terms of the acting and a bit more atmospheric. I honestly love both. If I want to fool around, I guess I’ll use Grok Imagine. But if I want more subtle realism and a candid feel, I’ll go with Kling 3.0.

Claude Code can ship a 45-second animated explainer ad in 30 minutes. No video editor needed, just CC + skills. Here's how I made this video for Soteri Skin 👇 1. /plan Concept Brief (Claude Code) I handwrite a concept brief, then chat with the agent to iterate on it. The agent gathers any raw materials we might need - context about the brand, product images, end card, etc. The concept brief details the concept, characters, visual style, script, etc 2. /prepare a moodboard (CC + GPT Image 2 + ElevenLabs) After reviewing the script, generate: - character reference images - voiceover samples for the characters / narrator - the storyboard (scene by scene grid) - a few keyframe scenes 3. /generate Keyframes for each scene (CC uses Nano Banana or GPT Image 2) Uses the character references from the previous step to generate keyframes for each scene. I probably should have done a round of iteration at this step – there's some character drift and the pH meter representation could have been better. 4. /animate Keyframe → Animated Clip (CC uses Fal Seedance) Generate 2-4 representative scenes first to see a preview. If it looks good, then generate everything. 5. /stitch (CC + ffmpeg + ElevenLabs) - Stitch clips together with hard cut - Add a music score + SFX - Sync clips to the VO - Add captions - Review and edit timing / pacing issues 6. /watch the final cut and review it - as a video editor for technical errors (mismatched voiceover and visuals, AI hallucinations, etc) - as a viewer (ICP). I delegate most of the review to the agent because it catches more things and keeps me out of the loop as much as possible. It also fixes any issues found in the review. That's it. This video took me 30 minutes because I have already created skills for everything I described above. Some day, this will be < 5 minutes. I just review and chat to provide direction and feedback. The skills do all the technical work. 7. /learn Extracts learnings and updates the skills. This final step is really important. Woot woot! THE BIG DAY IS HERE. Eddie AI v2! Download it: It’s been a sprint pace to cover a marathon distance. We launched Eddie AI v1 in October last year. Thousands of new users. Lots of feature requests. Learned a ton. (Yes, Paul Graham is right: ship early and often!) Eddie AI v2 releases three big advancements. And underpinning those decisions are the learnings baked in. 1. Eddie now runs locally on Macs and Windows. Our native apps are out of beta and available to everyone. Video is large. The video files used by video professionals are even larger. No one wants to wait around uploading. Native applications make it MUCH MUCH faster to import and thus much faster to get on with editing. We were blown away by the usage of this feature. Logging is now updated and released to all in v2. 3. Rough cut mode. This is the big dream: Eddie is the AI assistant video editor. There’s a lot of tedious work in video editing. Eddie takes it on. And helps you get to a great story faster. Sorting through hours of interviews and finding great soundbites that can be cut together to form a coherent story is a big step toward this dream. We attempted to do this in v1. But the prompt box was too open ended. People were typing in things like “Cut me a great story” and the subjectivity of the statement led to variable results. So we re-thought the story crafting process. We added friction. YES you read that correctly. We added friction into the product that slows the customer down. BUT they get much better results, reliably. And that trade-off is well worth it. Eddie now takes a step-by-step approach with you on crafting your story. It aligns with you on the story framework and then cuts chapter by chapter with your feedback. What used to take days, now takes minutes. We spent months hacking at LLMs to make them able to provide coherent edits over a longer duration and handle a large amount of source material (aka context-window problem). It’s ready for release. Woot woot! THE BIG DAY IS HERE. Eddie AI v2! Download it: It’s been a sprint pace to cover a marathon distance. We launched Eddie AI v1 in October last year. Thousands of new users. Lots of feature requests. Learned a ton. (Yes, Paul Graham is right: ship early and often!) Eddie AI v2 releases three big advancements.
