The two underage girls Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu found fetching during school hour at Anthony area of Lagos in February 2022… they reconnected with Sanwo-Olu today after four years of their encounter with the Governor. They met during the launch of “Lagos Education Access Fund” today at the State House, Marina. Amarachi, now 13, from Abia State, dropped out of school when she was in Pry 4 due to family’s financial difficulties, while Salahat, 14, from Jigawa State, was never enrolled in school following his parents’ relocation to Lagos. The Lagos State Fresh Food Hub—Abijo sits on a 23,000 sqm land with adequate parking facilities, cold and dry storage facilities, and expansive trading floors for vendors. This food hub will create a bigger food distribution network across Lagos by the State government. It aims to bring fresh, affordable produce to communities along the Lekki‑Epe corridor, helping to decentralize food access beyond traditional urban centers. Governor Sanwo-Olu says this kind of food hub which was first built in Idi-oro Mushin LGA, is also currently being built in Agege, Bombata; Lagos Island, Oregun, Ikorodu and plans for Epe and Badagry too. As the Lagos State Government continues to deliver the roads and public infrastructure needed to support a growing megacity, we remain equally committed to ensuring that those whose properties are affected are treated with fairness, dignity and respect. Every compensation claim underwent a thorough verification process in line with established procedures to ensure that all rightful beneficiaries received their entitlements. While these transformative projects will ultimately benefit millions of Lagosians, we do not take for granted the sacrifices made by those directly impacted. The Lekki Free Zone, created in 2006 by the then Governor of Lagos State, who is now the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR 🥇 🇳🇬, is a modern free zone managed in accordance with international best practices spanning over 16,500 hectares are divided into four quadrants. Alaro City is Located in the North West Quadrant of the Lekki Free Zone, which is the logistics and commercial hub of the zone, situated on the Lekki-Epe Expressway, in close proximity to the Lekki Deep Sea Port and the proposed International Airport. ALARO CITY - A concept developed in 2010, with MoU signed in 2012, First CofO signed in 2015 and eventually Launched in 2019, Alaro City is an integrated, mixed-use city planned on over 2,000 hectares of Land in the Lekki Free Zone.
