The interesting part is not the voice interface, it’s the permission boundary. Letting an agent order AirPods while the car is moving needs scoped connectors, spend limits, and a confirmation step for irreversible actions. That’s the difference between a demo and a reliable in-car agent.

Grok Bot has just officially launched in Tesla vehicles. I got early access a couple weeks ago. You can order stuff on online (such as Amazon), manage your email, calendar, finances, or other tasks through Grok Grok Bot using just your voice in your Tesla. For most companies, this feature would be the main headline event. Today I had Grok in my Cybertruck start my day with a motivational quote from Elon Musk. Then I told it to take me to the Apple Visitor Center. Then the Tesla store. Then coffee at Starbucks. While driving, it told me the weather, updated me on how $TSLA was doing, while I just sat there, completely hands-free, watching my Tesla take me exactly where I asked, all in real-time. Then I sipped my morning tea from my Tesla mug. I danced in my seat a little bit bc I was happy. And my Tesla handled the entire drive. Just my voice and no stress. This is what the future looks like, and it’s only possible bc of the power and synergy of Tesla FSD and xAI’s Grok. Once you experience this, just 1 time, there’s no going back. I feel bad for all my doubters and haters who had to drive themselves manually to work today… bc I didn’t.

BOOMI MY NEW GROK DEVICE! I HAVE Grok ON AN OLD APPLE WATCH MADE IN TO A RETRO IPOD! Still working on it but my goal to have a remote single purpose Grok device has been achieved! With the benefits of posting my grifter slop on to X from this device also (that is another article). And a minimal phone. So how did I do it? First I got this IPod converter kit: it is a beautiful device to hold made of Aluminum. Second I got this app: “Ask Watch AI” it has a free version. Third I got my XAI Grok API Key: Toss a few bucks in the account to fund it. Finally I set up the system by answering questions. This is my first run. I am coding an app for the Apple Watch that will be easier than pressing “done”. I will write a full article on it as soon as I get it done. My goal is to use the cell plan on this Apple Watch and to have a minimal phone and Grok device. Soon these devices will be sent to Starlink. With full Grok Bot and Grok Build. No need for an OS or an App. Obviously this is an Apple Watch but soon it will be a device like this of course with a camera too.

i love Grok Grok Bot i do not love my sidebar with 28 random agents here is a simple way to organize your grok bot team: don't grab a template and a cute icon use an org system one chief of staff as the main interface. pin it to the top then project leads, not task bots. they share specialist bots across projects pin the active leaders. hide the specialists use the default colors, don't make your own. it kills the animation and is less functional chief is the only purple bot, and the only cloud shape leads are triangles, each a unique color specialists are all green squares two channels: All Hands every weekday before i'm awake. chief runs this with active project leads. it coordinates projects, resources, and my calendar. then one channel per active project, let your lead bot invite the specialists it needs that's it link to my bot templates below, including one to help you organize your Grok Bots into this exact system and one to clean and back up your workspace

Nice thing about Grok Grok Bot is that you can throw any idea into the Grok Bot, even a backburner one. The Grok Bot will just implement it, waiting for you to review. Today I saw my kid struggling to understand how to break down a number into power sums, and I could not find a good video to explain it, so I asked the Grok Bot to make one. It even made a cheerful voice using the Grok voice API.

i love Grok Grok Bot i do not love its rate limits here is a simple way to get more usage out of it: install your coding agents on Grok Bot's virtual machine Codex, Cursor, Grok Build, Antigravity, etc then, install herdr to manage those CLI agent sessions now give Grok Bot a rule: use Herdr + CLI agents for anything more than conversational tasks your rate limits for Grok Bot will only be coordination and prompting, rather than the coding tasks themselves and you can use those Cursor and Grok Build limits AND crank on Grok Bot without getting rate limited as fast

If any other auto company shipped what Tesla just put in my Cyberbeast this morning, it would be a MAJOR launch event, like with a stage set up, a 40-minute presentation with people flying in around the world to see how amazing this technology is. Tesla on the other hand just sent it to my truck overnight with an over-the-air software update. I downloaded FSD (Supervised) v14.3.8 this morning and made Grok do all of this while my Cyberbeast drove itself. Watch the video, if you think I’m lying. I had Grok: 1/ add a destination 2/ add a second stop 3/ start FSD (just had to press a button) 4/ turn my AC to 68 5/ turn the seat coolers on medium 6/ then change the seat cooler to high 7/ play a song 8/ change to a different song 9/ open the glovebox (had to enter my pin) 10/ close the glovebox 11/ tell me the weather 12/ play Elon’s song 13/ change my destination to San Francisco mid-drive 14/ pick a Supercharger bc I was almost out of battery ALL with my hands and feet off the steering wheel and pedals… Here’s exactly how it went. I said hey Grok, take me to the Pruneridge Golf Club closest to me, then the Starbucks near there. It set both. I started FSD with a press of a button. Then I just kept talking to it. It was kind of hot in my Cybertruck, so I asked Grok to set the temperature to 68 and cool. Done. Then I said put the seat coolers on medium… it turned it on. Then I said change the seat coolers to high… it bumped it up. I said to play a song from Future… it put a song on Spotify that wasn’t what I was looking for. So I changed it. I said to play a song from Lil Baby. That was the one. Then I asked Grok to open my glovebox. It wouldn’t do it until I put my PIN in on the screen, which I actually respect for safety. I typed in my PIN… it opened it. Then I said close the glovebox… it closed. I asked what the weather was… it said it was sunny in Santa Clara, high 85, low 64. Then I said play Don’t Doubt ur Vibe, I think that’s Elon… it pulled up Don’t Doubt ur Vibe by Elon “EDM” Musk on Spotify. Halfway there I changed my mind on where I wanted to go. I said actually take me to San Francisco first and that I might have to stop at a Supercharger bc I’m almost out of battery. Grok looked at my truck sitting at 14% battery life with 38 miles of range. And knowing San Francisco is 39 miles away it found a Tesla supercharger for me to charge along the way. I said thanks Grok. A Tesla is starting to feel like an AI on wheels that can drive, listen, understand what I want, control the cabin, change my plans, and solve problems for me in real time… almost like another person is there with me, except that intelligence is embodied in the car itself. And the wildest part is I didn’t buy anything new! I went to sleep with one Cyberbeast and woke up with a more capable one. That’s why I think people still underestimate what happens when Tesla combines FSD, Grok, its vehicles, and over-the-air software into one system. That car sitting in your driveway doesn’t stay the same car. It keeps gaining new abilities. It keeps getting smarter. And often, you literally wake up to a major release that changes what the car can do. Any other automaker would have put this on a stage. Tesla shipped it while I was sleeping. Mind blown…

I said to play a song from Lil Baby. That was the one. Then I asked Grok to open my glovebox. It wouldn’t do it until I put my PIN in on the screen, which I actually respect for safety. I typed in my PIN… it opened it. Then I said close the glovebox… it closed. I asked what the weather was… it said it was sunny in Santa Clara, high 85, low 64. Then I said play Don’t Doubt ur Vibe, I think that’s Elon… it pulled up Don’t Doubt ur Vibe by Elon “EDM” Musk on Spotify. Halfway there I changed my mind on where I wanted to go. I said actually take me to San Francisco first and that I might have to stop at a Supercharger bc I’m almost out of battery. Grok looked at my truck sitting at 14% battery life with 38 miles of range. And knowing San Francisco is 39 miles away it found a Tesla supercharger for me to charge along the way. I said thanks Grok. A Tesla is starting to feel like an AI on wheels that can drive, listen, understand what I want, control the cabin, change my plans, and solve problems for me in real time… almost like another person is there with me, except that intelligence is embodied in the car itself. And the wildest part is I didn’t buy anything new! I went to sleep with one Cyberbeast and woke up with a more capable one. That’s why I think people still underestimate what happens when Tesla combines FSD, Grok, its vehicles, and over-the-air software into one system. That car sitting in your driveway doesn’t stay the same car. It keeps gaining new abilities. It keeps getting smarter. And often, you literally wake up to a major release that changes what the car can do. Any other automaker would have put this on a stage. Tesla shipped it while I was sleeping. Mind blown…
