Green Crow Dev and I are making an addon for #GodotEngine that lets you control every aspect of rendering and post-processing in one place. For example, you'll be able to adjust rendering settings that are usually hidden in the Project Settings, like shadow resolution and anti-aliasing, control the sun, tweak WorldEnvironment settings, add and customize lens flare and other effects, as well as handle post-processing in general (color correction, chromatic aberration, film grain). You'll also be able to change the mood of a scene entirely with just a couple of clicks by selecting a preset (e.g. cinematic, horror, noir, etc.). Would this be something you'd be interested in?

On The Road With Al & Ivy Blog entry for June 3, 2016: First book trailer for the On The Road With Al & Ivy novel "On The Road With Al & Ivy—Book 1: Becoming A Face" will be released in about two weeks. As I said earlier, I was working on this book and "The Quitturz," and this one was the first to be completed. I decided a while back to do this as a novel for various reasons, mainly because it's complicated to write a book based on real life with actual people. Anyone who's read this blog for years knows that this novella, which runs about 45,000 words, will be based on my experiences. The novel format allows me to include a lot of material based on other people's observations and comments, which will make the novel more richly detailed. The format allows me to fictionalize people so that every character resembles no one in real life. The main reason is to protect sources and to take advantage of fiction's flexibility, which allows me to use my imagination. I think that with any work based on real-life experiences, it's essential to be fair to the characters. One of the things I specifically avoided was not to create one-dimensional saints and sinners, so to speak, so that every character can be seen as a human being with both virtues and flaws. Doing this as a fictional trilogy also allows me to draw on my interest in past literature and do this as a work. I didn't want to do a documentary-style book. Plenty of those are already available for this book's subject matter. The title refers to a phrase that will be occasionally used in the book. It doesn't have one particular meaning. It starts off meaning one thing, but as the story progresses, you'll find that it's a much more complex concept. Another aspect is the story's structure. The original drafts were in the first person, but I found that once I shifted to a novel format, I could weave a more complex tapestry that included other first-person accounts and third-person narratives. I admit that my writing will probably get mixed reviews, as some readers will always criticize that kind of structure, but after 8 years and a lot of thought, it's simply the best way to present the story. My Son has never been in trouble, to be honest he's a bit too square, wish hed be a little more jack the lad as I was. Hes not, he's just hard working, diligent, honest and determined to do well in life which he will. It breaks my heart that as he walks back from work, through Nottingham on an evening he has to walk through crowds of this, he shouldn't have to, and me and his Mother shouldn't have to worry as we do.

The first fully open humanoid robot reference design built on Jetson Thor, and it's going straight to the world's top research institutions. This is Jensen Huang's bet on open physical AI infrastructure. The hardware stack is serious: → Unitree H2 Plus chassis, 6 feet tall, 150 pounds, 31 degrees of freedom → Sharpa Wave tactile five-finger hands, 22 degrees of freedom, bringing total to 75 across the full body → NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor onboard compute, 2,070 FP4 teraflops of AI performance, 128GB unified memory → Multi-view sensing, stereo head camera, wrist cameras, IMU Alongside this announcement, Unitree also introduced the H2 Plus as a standalone product, a frontier humanoid combining Unitree's own body, Sharpa's five-finger hands and NVIDIA Robotics Jetson Thor compute into one fully integrated research platform. The full Isaac GR00T software stack ships with it, teleoperation for data capture, open foundation models, Isaac Sim for training, Isaac Lab for evaluation, and accelerated ROS middleware for deployment. He has excelled in Action sequences as well as the emotional scenes with flawless expressions 👏 Director Sundarapandi has utilised lights and background score to enhance visuals to create horror scares without needing much extra effects. Our vehicle "accident rate" declined from 33% to 14% while our fleet grew from 200 to 300 trucks. How? We installed cameras in every truck. We implemented this change a couple years ago. As you'd expect, our drivers weren't thrilled. We tried to implement the change in a way that respected privacy while adding accountability measures that could reverse a bad trend we were seeing. For trucks assigned to a team member who drives the vehicle to and from work, we installed only road-facing cameras. Our shared trucks have dual-facing cameras that look at both the road and the cab. The cameras have sensors that can: - detect speeding, rapid acceleration, hard braking, rolling through stop signs, and distracted driving. Resistance to having a camera on board your truck is understandable, but I'm happy to say that our drivers have adapted well. And the numbers don't lie—The cameras have worked, leading to fewer accidents, fewer injuries, and less money lost to damages. Have you experienced driving a vehicle with a camera?

Trump claims that Canadians would have better health coverage if we became the 51st state. That's incorrect. For reference, I received training at Johns Hopkins and Walter Reed. I'm familiar with the US Medical system. I also lecture on the subject of healthcare systems. Canada suffers from a relative lack of infrastructure as well as a lack of private healthcare options. That creates long waitlists, but maintains excellent care. Europe has solved this puzzle with universal coverage as well as private options. The United States is held as an extreme example of a healthcare system without universal coverage. The system allows for the best care in the world, but only for a small percentage of the population. Canada adopting the US healthcare system is no solution at all. Currently we are moving slowly but steadily towards the European solution which objectively has the best healthcare outcomes.

I stepped onto the field and took this video well after midnight, as we were just getting the 2nd half rolling of our 34-7 win that took 2 days to finish…👀 We now have video proof that even after a 4.5 hour lightning delay, we still had more fans than Sam Houston State Penitentiary (only 671 fans at their last home game)!
