anthropic just dropped claude haiku 4.5 and it absolutely COOKS with web design especially compared to haiku 3.5 basically on par with sonnet 4 (at 1/3 the price) they really nailed the cost + speed + quality ratio

The most hilarious part is that Claude Sonnet 4.5 is a gazillion times faster this way compared to using it via CC... The stats displayed in pi on the left are accumulative across all requests, while the context stats in CC are only for the last message.

"more than twice the speed" is underselling Haiku tbh built a way to directly compare Sonnet v Haiku 4.5 and it's roughly 3.5x faster, but the UX feels SO much better because Haiku stays inside the "flow window". obviously end to end latency varies a lot so Ant can't report a real number without production usage but you should try heads up comparisons

a little haiku 4.5 demo: cursor for design. this video is 2x speed because i'm slow at typing, but it's pretty fast at 1x too. feels nice to let claude edit the canvas faster than i could! now let's hope it gets a bit better at visual taste...
