Paying more money for less service… it’s not even cost effective for people to buy bus passes anymore when they can’t get to where they are going. Also why can’t you sell bus tickets/passes online or at terminals. Instead of drug stores nowhere near any bus stop?

Monday, December 18, 2023, 1:17 PM, PDT: 545 DM Low pressure is starting to develop 300 miles off the coast of Oregon. This is the start of the formation of the secondary low, which will emerge and have a southward trajectory. This low-pressure system will move into Southern California on Thursday and Thursday night. As of right now, intensive rapid development is expected within the next 24-30 hours over the Central Pacific. This system will tap into subtropical moisture south of the Hawaiian Islands in the next 32 hours, bringing copious amounts of rain to the southern California region. There is an increasingly elevated chance of thunderstorms on Thursday. The trajectory and positioning of solution models have the system going close to Point Conception early Thursday afternoon into Thursday night, which will provide the perfect setup for rainfall from Santa Barbara down to San Diego. If the main low pressure gets within about 65 to 130 miles of the Channel Islands, rainfall totals will increase across Ventura County, LA County, Orange County, and San Diego County. Rainfall totals are still expected to be between 0.80 to 2.0 inches. However, if thunderstorms do develop, rainfall totals of 1.8 to 4.0 inches seem justified with this particular system. More updates will continue as the system nears our region. The first system is moving into parts of Southern California this afternoon, which will moisten up the atmosphere and prepare us for the second system. There is no offshore flow at all, which is a good sign for further storm development as the lower levels of the atmosphere moisten up. #cutofflow #ElNino #Californiastorms

Lets dive into the latest developments as we get ready for the S10 Preseason Launch 👇 🪜 Collectible Leaderboard As we bring much needed gameplay utility to Collectible Axies with Meta Morph, Collectible Leaderboard will serve as the true battleground for the most precious axies in Lunacia. 🔹 Prizepool of Collectible Leaderboard has been increased from 4,000 AXS to 6,000 AXS. 🔹 Collectible Leaderboard will be live for 3 weeks from Aug 7, 11:30 AM PHT to Aug 28, 11:00 AM PHT. 🔹 Era based testing will be carried out with 1 week dedicated to each era. 🔹 Preseason Cup will not be hosted during this preseason. The focus will be on Collectible Leaderboard for balance patch testing. ✨ Meta Morph After getting important feedback regarding Meta Morph from the community and further internal review, we've decided to implement the following changes: 🔹 Body parts of the morphed cards will be visually changed once battle begins. Say hello to a massive acceleration of AI smart contracts 🧠 on the Internet Computer #ICP blockchain. Brilliant work by the DFINITY Foundation team has accelerated deterministic floating point instructions by 10X. We continue on our mission to run sophisticated LLMs as smart contracts 👊⚡️🔥 In the demo, image classification is now running 3X+ faster (across 3-4 blocks through consensus compared to 10-12 before). Naturally, the gas/cycles costs of AI inference has come down commensurately. The acceleration was achieved through broad low-level work, which includes commits to the public Wasmtime virtual machine implementation of WebAssembly. Coming optimizations will take us much further. The next optimization will include the integration of SIMD instructions into the smart contract execution environment, which will allow multiple floating point calculations to be performed in parallel through the execution of a single instruction. Something crucial: also in near sight, is the migration of the ICP smart contract environment from 32-bit Wasm to 64-bit Wasm, which will scale the number of AI model weights that can be loaded into contract memory from 2B to whatever is needed for sophisticated LLMs. Somewhat further away, is the provision of new APIs allowing canister smart contract code to export AI computations for accelerated processing on GPUs. This will require substantial work to address the challenges of achieving deterministic computation directly on the silicon, and for the community to agree a new public spec for node machines that pack GPUs, and to add compliant blockchain nodes to the network. Together, these improvements will unlock further orders of magnitude acceleration of AI smart contract inference (and potentially training). We believe that in the future vast numbers of AI models will run as smart contracts, which will prevent them being hacked (and thus the sensitive data they ingest being stolen), make them unstoppable, make them transparent, and where needed, allow them to run autonomously – for example for purposes such as KYC or EVM smart contract verification/certification. In the future, you will be able to have a conversation with a blockchain, and ask it to do reasoning for you.
