I'm familiar with raymarching, but how did you get the shader of the cube to extend out to the entire grid? Shouldn't it have been constrained to the faces of the cube, like those infinity mirrors you can buy?

it's a flat plane, there is no cube

No way we got repeat zone in shader nodes before vector math in the compositor....
