Hercules And Xena- Battle For Mount Olympus (1998) Did anyone else think Gabrielle’s transformation into a ROC (giant mythological bird) looked extremely painful??

Had to do a double take. No wonder this looks so cool (her abstract morphing is totally screaming "Games era Ren and Stimpy"), it was Lynne Naylor's project. Been meaning to check this one out, along with the original Xena Warrior Princess series.

I love(?) how this movie was blatantly made to capitalize on Disney's Hercules but justifies itself as part of another legitimate franchise featuring Hercules. Any similar cases: using an existing I.P. to copy a more successful new one with the same public domain basis?

Yes there's a couple of scenes in this movie where I went "Ouch", specifically the Titans forcibly transforming.

I mean, her body got mushed into a tiny sphere. That would be painful for any sentient being. Though it would've looked more painful if she's slowly morphed into one, her limbs shifting piece by piece

9 year old me thought it was funny how they tried to capitalize on the success of Disney’s Hercules. Hell they even had singing segments in the show. But I did enjoy watching regardless. I was a fan of Hercule’s and Xena’s shows anyway.

I feel like I rented this one time but remember nothing from it . ( Have not seen the shows it came from did not help)

Hot take: but it was a good movie and the animation style was pretty cool.

This was mine and my older brother's favorite movie growing up. I honestly felt sorry for Gabrielle in this scene and it low key scared me before she turned into Roc.

This movie was wild on so many levels. The muses’ song at the beginning was good, the Titan’s song in the middle was interesting. Man I love this movie!
