News flash, all restaurants use plastic cutting boards. Cancel eating out

Use tempered glass cutting boards only. You're welcome.

Agree with this but have a few points to add: Most store bought wood cutting boards are sealed with oil or chemical finishes to make them look pretty. BAD Fancy designs in board may be glued with solvent or urethane based adhesives. BAD (Water and animal based glues are fine) End grains look great but have more crevasses to hold bacteria. Bad Some exotic woods (ipe, katalox ect) are insanely hard but can leach toxins through moisture. Bad.

Solution: buy crappy knives that aren’t sharp enough to cut the plastic

Seems like a lot of unnecessary maintenance. I feel like glass would be better.

highest level of disrespect to your body n mind if you think micro plastics have any major effect. It’s the fear that impacts.

I cut on my marble countertop tbh, I’m not even gonna lie, is it lazy? A little… but I clean it every time before & after & marble is super durable.
