Here’s my Problem with Evidence-Based Medicine👇

One might argue that "evidence based" medicine is synonymous with "profit rendering" medicine.

Given 3-5 years to live. All they had to offer me was pills. Fast forward 8 years, it's in full remission. Evidence from my own research suggested it was my diet. Going Keto, no seed oil, no lectins, no oxalate, 8 hour eating window, did the trick. Off all meds. Feeling great!

Your work is incredibly important. Thanks for your contributions.

🧐 @grok vitamin D pathways and one carbon metabolism pathways are taught in biochemistry class. They are principles of a basic science. Explain why both pathways have been particularly important in Covid times. Give detailed citations.

I studied trading and I think the concept of risk to reward needs to be applied to medicine. If there is little downside to doing something and large potential upside, why not try it? That needs to be in medicine more imo. Not a dr. But think it would help

Exactly… Who paid or provides for the EVIDENCE ? How good is the evidence? Do the evidence capturers have any links to monetary incentive to provide said evidence ? The list of ways to screw with the system continues beyond. Most people do not understand this.

It all comes down to financial incentives

Well effin’ said. Medicine needs more doctors that think like you.

what are your thoughts on creatine?

Here is the problem. The grifters are online telling you the "evidence based" treatments don't work. The evidence-based" treatments are a scam. The "real treatments" are being "hidden". You are playing right into their hands. Asking someone with a math and science level of a 7-8th grader to determine if a treatment is "biologically plausible" is a joke. If "standard of care" fails, there are bullshitters who are lined up to steal your money and time with false hope.

the problem with N=1 is that unless you are rich, or a doctor itself you cant do it.

Same thing with people saying the science is settled

Thank god someone didn’t have to train you in residency 😂😅

30% relative risk and 1% absolute risk? See Pfizer Lipitor. Over $100 billion in sales for the factor of total cholesterol which is dismissed today.

Not just the incentives for RCT, but the inherent limits of both RCT and observational evidence. Even a well designed RCT faces significant challenges with the realities of biological dynamics. You simply can't account for everything that matters.
