Here’s proof that nothing in #Bengaluru ever gets done 100%. This is a CDP (Comprehensive Development Plan) road, Carmelaram meant to decongest the chaotic IT corridor. 👉 5 years in the making. 👉 Just 1 km long. 👉 Still incomplete. The road falls under Manjula Aravind Limbavali’s constituency. It’s...

Subject: Urgent Request to Conduct BBMP Election | Day 76/100 Demand Respected Siddaramaiah,DK Shivakumar, Today marks the 76th day of our call for the immediate conduct of BBMP elections. In the attached video, desperate commuters are seen navigating through a waterlogged, narrow road in East Bengaluru—a suburb where over 60% of India’s IT companies are located. This road, originally a village cart lane, has become a primary route without adequate drainage or infrastructure. A single rain is enough to flood it, yet it continues to be used as a main thoroughfare. This isn’t the fault of IT workers, as some might claim; rather, it’s a failure in urban planning. The government has permitted housing projects in this area without ensuring the necessary public amenities. As more land is concretized, the opportunity to widen roads or improve infrastructure diminishes. While some argue that public transport is the solution, they overlook the fact that buses still need at least two lanes to operate effectively. The current state of affairs is unacceptable and is damaging our city’s long-term growth. The need for a democratic setup in Bengaluru is more urgent than ever. We must have proper governance and planning to prevent further deterioration. We urge you to prioritize the BBMP elections to ensure that our city can thrive. Yours sincerely, Concerned Citizens of Bengaluru #ConductBBMPElection #BrandBengaluru #ITSlum #bengalururains Office of the OSD to CM Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS

Civic Opposition of India

If Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS and DK Shivakumar cannot even manage Bengaluru’s basic infrastructure its roads, drainage, and overall civic amenities then how can they possibly handle the ambitious Tunnel Road project? With just 30 minutes of rain, the city's streets are already waterlogged, potholes are worsening, and daily commutes are turning into nightmares. If the existing roads cannot withstand a short spell of rain, what guarantee is there that a tunnel road won’t turn into an underground river during monsoons? DK Shivakumar and the Karnataka Congress government are busy making grand announcements under the so-called ‘Brand Bengaluru’ initiative, but where are the results? Instead of focusing on real issues like drainage, road maintenance, and traffic management, they are pushing flashy projects that serve more as political gimmicks than practical solutions. If they cannot even ensure that the current roads are safe and functional, how can citizens trust them with something as complex as a tunnel road? This is nothing but sheer negligence and misplaced priorities. The people of Bengaluru deserve better than broken promises, crumbling roads, and empty branding exercises. Before dreaming of ambitious infrastructure projects, the government must first prove that it can handle the basics. Otherwise, ‘Brand Bengaluru’ will remain nothing more than a failed PR stunt, while the city continues to sink both literally and figuratively. Joint CP, Traffic, Bengaluru DGP KARNATAKA alok kumar Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS Tushar Giri Nath, IAS S.
