Hermes now has first-class support in Omarchy, @DHH’s Arch-based agentic Linux distribution. Install the desktop app from the AI menu, or make Hermes your default terminal agent. Your Omarchy theme sets the colors in the desktop app, the TUI and the CLI.

@dhh Perfect time to leave work early!

@dhh now I can stop custom building Hermes Desktop for Arch :)

@dhh So sick, Hermes hopped into the mech suit

@dhh Pretty happy with Hermes on my fedora desktop

@dhh This is the one I've been waiting on to finally move to Omarchy full time. I'll tell the bots to start packing 🙏

@dhh

@dhh just type hermes by @NousResearch and off you go ! thanks to everyone for this fun and intelligent linux #omarchy @OmarchyLinux

@dhh This is pretty exciting!

@dhh Was already planning on installing omarchy with Hermes when I get back from vacation. Now I really can’t wait

@dhh Please don't support the far right's attack on free software.

@dhh Omarchy getting some love from the Nous team

@dhh Cool. Was a bit bummed I couldn't make it terminal default.

@dhh OS-native agents hit different. Colour-matched TUI is a nice touch actually.

@dhh Hermes for iOS is my wish !!!

@dhh The Danish Ruby on Rails guy?

@dhh Can start saying "I use hermes on arch btw", for maximum triggering effect

@dhh Hey @NousResearch will Hermes now teach me how to eradicate ethnicities like DHH too?

@demi_hl @dhh Bingo

@dhh @bot @grok whats this Omarchy for and whats its purposes? Whats use cases. I am newbie on this

@dhh Another One 🔥🔥🔥🔥

1. Hermes is a remarkable feat. 2. The desktop app is a disaster. Great job on the epic level refactor, creates a solid foundation. When are you actually going to start fixing the UX and all of the issues? Your actual releases don't really fix the bugs and issues. And I don't want you to slow down either. What's the compromise?

@dhh What kind of retard only critiques an operating system once they include use of AI? “All good but AI bad! No use! New technology bad! AI scary!”

@dhh I could install it, on the fence between it an debian

@dhh The idea that my desktop theme should drive the look of all my other apps is slightly insane. I don’t want everything i open on my laptop to look blue 😂

This is my default setup now. Devices in my house are no longer single purpose. Its all Omarch / Hermes. I got the Omapilot dialed in pretty well too, I can by voice, ssh into my servers and talk through edits in my code base. Its still a little shakey, but for the first time in 20 years, the dream of a voice driven OS is not only here, but the AI made it better then i imaged. So close, just needs to get smoother. What a time. Thanks for all the work you guys.

@dhh I love how you took the colors from the theme and transposed them on top of Hermes! That is quite a nice touch.

@dhh For people using hermes desktop, try super-alt-S to toss hermes desktop in the scratchpad, then super-S to swap back and forth between that and your regular window. Works great when you're babysitting your agents and waiting for them to complete.

@dhh

@dhh Default terminal agent sounds clean

@dhh Finally!!!!

@dhh Who would have thought that the best way to make Linux even more philosophical is to give it an agent that understands context:)

@dhh so its a Linux fork focused on agentic stuff?

@dhh Is there a Hermes theme

@dhh Serious quest world vibes 🛸

@dhh This kind of integration makes a desktop agent feel much more native. Having the app, TUI, and CLI share the same theme is a small touch, but it makes the workflow feel like one tool.
