I am curious if a Frame gen could be use only alongside with LFC (20-40fps = 40-80hz)

You've gotta understand they are not putring 120Hz VRR support because the game can't even sustain 30 real FPS let alone make 40 or above. The whole reason this game uses frame gen and input lag is bad is because the rendering framerate is around 25FPS.

@StellarBlade all it needs is 120hz support so we can lock to 30, and let VRR do its thing with Low Framerate Compensation, c'mon please lol

Input latency was definitely noticeable for me at certain points. Definitely looks good and runs great, we definitely need a 120hz patch imo😅 Overall it was fun and I had a great time.

Stellar Blade on Nintendo Switch 2 is a rough one. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this version. The visuals take a noticeable hit, but the bigger issue for me is the gameplay. The input delay is very noticeable and had a major impact on my experience. One of my favorite games took a massive hit with this port.

I tested out Cyberpunk 2077 Path Tracing turned on with RX 9070 XT now that FSR Redstone is out. By using the new FSR Redstone and FSR ML Based Frame-Gen, the game reaches up to 130FPS in 1440p with FSR set to Performance Mode. The performance gains are not that much higher compared to the previous versions of FSR but the image quality got a huge upgrade, especially when using Frame-Gen. This ML based Frame Gen is much better than the previous version as it gets rid of most artifacts and ghosting caused by the previous version. If for some reason you always wanted to play Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing turned on on an AMD GPU, now you can enjoy a playable experience with 100+ FPS on an RX 9070 XT. I still don't recommend it though as the frame pacing and input lag still feels off for me, I'd just rather play this without Frame Gen and Path Tracing. I'm going to test out Black Myth: Wukong next

Borderlands 4 Performance Summary in 2 minutes: 0:00 - Native Res Badass Settings the game runs bad 0:30 - Upscaling Performance Mode Badass Settings, the game barely manages to hit 60FPS 1:20 - Frame Gen turned on and now you have 100 FPS Some people will turn all these settings on and be happy with it but in my honest opinion these are used as crutches to make the game look as if it performs good. Borderlands 4 has a certain art style that doesn't look like it needs these kind of settings to be turned on to play at a high framerate but sadly it does and you can defend this if you want but the future of gaming looks bleak, using this tech to not optimize the games further will just result in input latency increase as every game will be delivered with frame-gen turned on in the devs mind.

3 years ago we spent $150k on this. Back when "AI" wasn't doing it for you and you had to pay… every single frame. To this day, I still don't fully understand it. It doesn't even look like our bears😅 But hey... it looked cool, innit?

I couldn't find anything with instant quote for simple cables so I whipped this up last night. The base flow is there, but I could use some input on what connectors and cable options are worth adding. TBD if I will actually launch it, but I'm having fun building the platform

Some reviews of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on Switch 2 said it had lower quality textures, but TBH, I haven't noticed 8 hours in. This is full of rich detail on Switch 2. Just like RE9, you'll probably have some question if you're playing this on a PS5 if you show them:

Finally, a two phase boss! It was a surprise for me, but it wasn't that hard. It took me three tries, two to study her moves, and I kicked ass on the third one. Enough Stellar Blade for today! I need to make some coffee and relax. My hands are tired from all the button mashing, but that's the fun part about fast paced combat video games.

I didn't appreciate Raven much in my first playthrough of Stellar Blade, but I grew to love her character later one. Here in Nikke they gave her more depth than I expected, and it made me love her even more. It would be disappointing if she's not involved in Stellar Blade 2. She's a key character and could become an ally to Eve now that Eve is aware of Mother Sphere's truth. Stellar Blade 2 could be so much more fun if we could get a second playable character. Hell, I'd be fine if they made her like Vergil. I know I'm being greedy here, but I really want Raven back.

Path Tracing on PS5 Pro even as a demo and at 30fps, pretty much confirms at least some games will use PT on PS6, which I said months ago but some said I was crazy for suggesting. PC gamers won't want to admit it, but next-gen the gap between console and higher end PC may shrink in terms of real world differences, bolstered by more competent RT and AI upscaling tech in the next-gen consoles. Keep in mind Valve already confirmed what Steam data already showed, that "the steam machine is equal or better than ~70% of what people have at home", and the Steam Machine is reportedly similar in perfomance to the BASE PS5. In regards to PT in F1 on PS5 Pro, I say drop the base resolution further (there's examples of PSSR 2 looking great even at 864p) and give us 40fps or higher. Also, this is a reason the future/RDNA4 RT tech and custom AI hardware in PS5 Pro was noteworthy. The "2-3x" PS5's RT performance Cerny quoted clearly wasn't just PR bluster. Outside of this demo, it's already allowing WAY better RT than PS5 in some games (Cyberpunk, F1, AC Shadows etc), with better image quality and/or perfomance to boot. Such demo's show there's potentially more to extract, especially for quality modes. #PS5Pro #PS6

I found an app combo that makes my audio quality basically perfect in every app – OBS, Zoom, whatever. 1. Audio Hijack – lets me add effects to my actual mic input 2. Loopback – turns the output from Audio Hijack into a virtual input device This lets you use the virtual device as your input in any other app. You can even set it as your whole system's default input. Result: Perfect audio at the time of recording, in any app. I went down a rabbit hole to set this up because I was tired of my Loom recordings sounding so much worse than my YouTube videos. But this also solved issues in OBS, which doesn't support all of my audio plugins for some reason. I'm so pleased the result that I had to shoot a little video on it:
