tbf a modern network tap is much better to use for this purpose than a hub. but a hub can do it in a pinch!

Port mirroring is what you need, sweetheart. If you haven’t have access to switch - this trick not gonna work, they already have DAI and port security, and maybe even 802.1x wire authentication..
