did you notice how the hub reacts when you flip it upside down? make sure you put something under it to catch the packets that get dropped.

back when hubs were all the rage, but prior to the ubiquity of switches, it was possible to discern the logic that was evolving in hubs, in particular regarding how they managed collision storms Man that shit was so interesting, said the old man. It heartens me to see you at it

What happens if you have the hub plugged into a port on the switch. Does the switch learn all of the MAC addresses on the hub, and forwards packets to all of those MAC addresses to the port the hub is on, and then the hub transmits all of them out every port?

Network engineering is bae. Network engineering is life. FWIW, I find unedited videos sometimes more educational. Too many people edit out moving cables, applying config, troubleshooting etc.. Seeing those things happen “live” is a great way to learn. Nice vid 😊

I wanted to keep her original expression but still have full range with mouth movements. It's a lot of shapekeys and delta/correct shapekeys. Unlike the previous model, i also wanted this one to only use one armature for everything. No need to switch out between body & face

Beautiful morning to get the ice shack finally setup. Dragged it out here yesterday, just 1 day earlier from last year. Rather mild morning but still below freezing. 12”+ of ice. Ice like glass so fishing and skating later out here. The snow I was hoping for on Christmas Day here in southern Manitoba might be a miss to the north. Merry Christmas Eve!
