Hialeah Mayor Bryan Calvo gets pulled over for making an illegal turn, and then he activates the police lights on his city issued vehicle. Impersonating an officer is considered a third-degree felony. Rather than charging him with this, he gets off with about $300 wrist slap.

More to the story below: bad judgment the minute he thought flipping on those lights was a legitimate action (no matter who installed them). The tickets are deserved & I’m glad the police officer issued them. The public notoriety is the punishment.

This is giving Alex Murdaugh vibes. No, the mayor hasn’t committed murder, but the mindset is the same. Murdaugh had lights on his personal SUV & didn’t hesitate to use them. He thought he was above the law.

Only bad things will come from putting emergency lights on a personal vehicle like that. You can tell by his attitude he thinks he is someone big shot.

I don't see a problem with a mayor having the lights for emergencies only. That being said, he should be held to a higher standard when it comes to usage. Engaging them when not an emergency should definitely be a charge. Power comes with responsibility.

That’s what scares me that people do that and like put lights on vehicles like that and then what if they want to pretend their cops and pull someone over. I know people that have refused to get out of their vehicle if it’s an unmarked car and then says call back up with a marked police car then I will come talk to you.

He was doing ACID then raped his next door neighbor who was a elderly woman about 82 then fled across country then he ran out of money so he robbed a gas station executing a man and woman with a sawed off shotgun he was caught about 200 miles down the highway and I was informed that he is doing double life in a Federal Prison just were he belongs!

Technically a mayor is in charge of the police department in his jurisdiction he is the one who appoints a police commissioner and the rest of the department answers to him, like a president who is a commander and chief in charge of the military, the mayor was chill about it
