I've been here many times along with my significant other and almost all of our 11 European Foreign exchange student from Spain and Italy just to pay our respect to an this great American Hero. My sixth great uncle who fought in the Texas Revolution and led the left flank through the Buffalo Bayou swamp at the Battle of San Jacinto is also buried there. As a matter of fact Uncle Ed was the first person buried in the Texas State Cemetery and his head stone is the only one that faces the Texas State Capitol. Much respect to you Uncle Ed as you are definitely a Texas Hero. But I'm not attempting to make you out shine the American Hero Chris Kyle.

Yes, this is the warrior who served in many combat arenas as a sniper, had bullets flying by his head many times, took out a lot of the enemy, just to come home and get shot/killed by a PTSD guy who he was trying to help by taking him to the gun range to spend time with him.
