Holy crap, NVIDIA just made it drastically easier to create large scale explorable 3d worlds. No manual stitching of smaller 3d generations like other 3d models. Lyra 2.0 looks pretty damn impressive.

holy crap! apple just beat google to the punch -- 3d gaussian splatting is coming to apple maps. these 3d scenes are made from oblique aerial imagery. but unlike blobby photogrammetry -- no more broccoli trees, no more melted powerlines -- ground level detail that actually holds up. here's hoping google maps/earth follows suite soon -- they have a significantly larger corpus of sensor data to work with. time to splat the world!

HOLY FUCKING SHIT WHAT what whatt???? we have been trying to get models to 3d model all wrong... this is 100% hand placed vertices by Fable... no procedural techniques, no Bezier patches, no loft modeling - nothing ... this is the best representation of a human I have EVER seen any LLM create from scratch without visual references.... this is just IN Fable's 3d worldmodeling

Adobe.. has released a tool that combines Generative Gaussian Splats with a Diffusion layer and it's not all over the internet? WHAT IS GOING ON :D I had to test this out ofc! Substance 3D viewer, the new 3d viewer just released by Adobe, not only supports viewing of a large, large list of 3d formats, but it also supports generating of 3d models as Gaussian Splats. Combine that with the built-in 3d to image functionality and you basically have at least a few of the steps I've been doing for the last year or so using multiple tools. Exciting stuff! The new Photoshop Beta also supports the 3D viewer and you can import 3d files directly in photoshop as smart objects linked to the viewer. The elements you prompt in based on your models, can be easily exported to your clipboard without backgrounds making it very easy to use this in your normal image editing workflows. I have a suspicion that we'll see much more of this in other Adobe tools and I'm very curious to see this used for things like this in more 3d tools than "just" Adobe Neo (which is fantastic btw). #adobe #art #gaussiansplatting

I told an AI to build a 3D racing game. And it actually understood the entire idea. It created the terrain, racers, obstacles, collisions, different environments AND even the leaderboard. I barely touched the 3D workflow. This is what an all-in-one AI 3D Agent should feel like. The game's map keeps changing with: → Mountains → boulders → Rainforests → thorns & trees → Ice → slippery chaos → Cherry blossoms → roadblocks & cars And you can literally tackle other riders and make them fall. But be careful because the game resets when you get hit by a car or boulder. All built with Hi3D Agent. Most 3D AI tools just create 3D models but Hi3D goes next level by creating 3D games.

Here is DLSS5 working on an animation I made in Unreal. It uses the existing geometry, animation, textures and lighting to render. It doesn't make stuff up out of thin air. There is zero generative AI. This is the exact use of AI that people have wanted. As a tool where artists maintain full art direction. Neural rendering makes creating amazing art with real 3D models easier and more accessible. All 3D artists should be excited. Here is another explanation by Daniel Vávra ⚔ Is this a 3D model? I encourage you to create a 3D model or animation sometime and try it out for yourself, it can be fun creating something!
