holy moly @windsurf from Codeium is the best AI coding agent experience i've had 💨 🏄‍♂️ I scaffolded an entire Next.js app, including frontend and backend - db, auth, frontend framework etc. by simply talking to "Cascade" their AI coding agent they've figured something out something with the idea...

I just did the same thing with Cascade and it didn't miss a beat. Next.js, supabase, github auth, WebGL! imo the flow and UX seems more polished than Cursor. The team at @codeiumdev cooked!

@windsurf_ai @codeiumdev Can I build without touching the code like composer?

@windsurf_ai @codeiumdev oh yea - it’s even better than composer in that it’s having a dialogue with you as it writes code

@windsurf_ai @codeiumdev I was particularly impressed with its ability to reason over the entire codebase of your project, it's much better at it than cursor

@windsurf_ai @codeiumdev yea and just seems to understand what you’re trying to do much better like you’re working with a coworker

@windsurf_ai @codeiumdev in the video, i see you do not show how it can use the terminal like a king. it can test stuff and even deploy it. i gave it control of kubectl to deploy stuff on kubernetes goddam it. it did it like a pro

Two years ago today, Elon Musk introduced xAI with these words: “The overarching goal of xAI is to build a good AGI with the purpose of trying to understand the universe. I think the safest AI, the safest way to build an AI is actually make one that is maximally curious and truth seeking. So you go for try to aspire to the truth with acknowledged error. Does one ever actually get fully to the truth? It's not clear, but one should always aspire to that and try to minimize the error between what you think is true and what is actually true. My theory behind the maximally curious, maximally truthful as being probably the safest approach is that I think to a superintelligence, humanity is much more interesting than not humanity. One can look at the various planets in our solar system, the moons and the asteroids, and really probably all of them combined are not as interesting as humanity. As people know, I'm a huge fan of Mars, but Mars is just much less interesting than Earth with humans on it. And so I think that that kind of approach to growing an AI, and I think that is the right word for it, growing an AI is to grow it with that ambition. I've spent many years thinking about AI safety and worrying about AI safety. And I've been one of the strongest voices calling for AI regulation or oversight just to have some kind of oversight, some kind of referee, so that it's not just up to companies to decide what they want to do. I think there's also a lot to be done with AI safety, with industry cooperation. I kind of like Motion Pictures association, so I think there's value to that as well. But I do think there's got to be some like in any kind of situation that is, even if it's a game, they have referees. So I think it is important for there to be regulation. Like I said, my view on safety is like try to make it maximally curious, maximally truth seeking. And I think this is, this is important that you to avoid the inverse morality problem. Like if you try to program a certain morality, you can have the, you, you can basically invert it and get the opposite, what is sometimes called the Waluigi problem. If you make Luigi, you risk creating Waluigi at the same time. So I think that's a metaphor that a lot of people can appreciate.”

i just built a 4-agent software team. everything runs from Telegram and gets managed on a kanban board. a project manager who plans the work, a backend developer, a frontend developer, and a tester. the PM reads a goal, breaks it into linked tasks, and assigns each to the right agent. the thing that makes them a team instead of four strangers is a shared kanban board. every task is a row that survives crashes, and when an agent finishes, it writes a summary of what it built and what the next agent needs to know. the next agent reads that summary before it starts. so the frontend developer never has to guess the API shape, and the tester knows exactly what to verify. the hardest part was not the coordination. it was building an agent that could actually act like a backend engineer. a backend engineer stands up a database, wires auth, manages storage, deploys functions, and keeps all of it consistent while the rest of the team builds on top. an agent doing this from scratch drowns. it burns its context window remembering which tables exist and which endpoint it created three steps ago, and the work degrades fast. so the backend agent needs a backend built for agents, not for humans clicking through a dashboard. that is where InsForge came in. it is an open-source, agent-native backend, and i added it to my backend developer agent as a skill. a skill is a step-by-step guide that teaches the agent how to do a specific kind of work. with InsForge installed, the agent stopped improvising infrastructure and followed a reliable path: create the project, define the database, set up auth, deploy functions. to test the whole team, i had them build a working Google Docs clone, AI features included. the backend agent spun up the full service on its own. database tables, user auth, document handling, and edge functions running real TypeScript, all in one dashboard. the frontend agent read that summary and built the UI on top of it, and the tester closed the loop. the result was a backend an agent could reason about end to end, instead of one it kept getting lost inside. if you are building an AI backend engineer, InsForge is worth a look, it's 100% open-source.
