I sadly don't seem to have access to the Touchpad, so i can't show that.

I love when we get future shit.

The fact that this demo was gibberish and not showing how good/bad the surface keyboard works gives the impression its like most virtual keyboards, only this didn't look responsive to many of your presses. So 1-10, compared to whats been around for years? 4?

@OcuLos410 I was simply showing that the feature is actually rolling out and can be turned on, not giving a comprehensive demo. There are others with more in-depth footage, I did not have the needed time for that, so feel free to watch their stuff instead :)

This is why VR is cooked, the poor demos and excuses instead of honest accountability to Meta pushing out junk.

@OcuLos410 It is not my responsibility to produce pristine demos for Meta's projects, I don't work for them. I am a hobbyist. If you think the feature is "junk" based on what you've seen then you're entitled to that opinion, but I am equally under no obligation to agree :)

I could understand if you were trying out something groundbreaking like the neural band or new tech but a virtual keyboard and the typing is terrible, just say how it really is. Meta has people scared to speak up or worried about losing an invite to Connect or afraid to hurt VR

@OcuLos410 Again, I don't think it's terrible, I wrote elsewhere that it's fairly decent in my limited usage, although shift key and/or middle and pinky interactions can sometimes miss. I'm not a content creator and I don't work in the industry so Connect etc aren't relevant.

@OcuLos410 (Misguidedly) Criticizing me for a "poor demo" is one thing, but I'm not going to also spontaneously agree with you that the feature is "junk". That's your opinion, not mine, and you're absolutely free to hold such an opinion.

How does it feel?

I think it performs fairly well, my main gripe is that it seems to be optimized for single contacts, so shift key and/or middle and pinky interactions can sometimes miss. But beyond that this is impressive for a v1 experimental feature.

Fabulous tool! Thanks for posting. I don't have the Touchpad either, hopefully soon.

That's sick, very cool.

how you still have the new UI?

Jeez, about time!

How do you have navigator and surface keyboard? I updated to V85 and lost access to navigator lmfao The keyboard works AMAZINGLY, I'm shocked
