houdinitime! Got my Topology Optimization tool working for 3D shapes. I really like the results! Some really nice skeletal shapes emerge.

Got the eye rig to work as well I'm really happy how it turned out. I do have a shrinkwrap modifier on the head to help the shape but it can be turned off for more extreme shapes. Next i'll work on some arkit shapes for face tracking.

I have been exploring a good workflow for animations like these and one thing I have been using Blend Shapes a lot! Because of the simpler cutting and needing to adjust the mesh a lot, Blend Shapes have been super handy for managing everything!

I pasted the Three.js code from the previous 3D scene in Grok 4 from xAI and prompted it to create a variation with new shapes. The scene leverages custom GLSL shaders for particle behavior and click morphs between shapes. Open source code and workflow in the thread below. 🧵👇

Started by blocking in the major light and shadow shapes, then refining the contrast within each area. A quick sketch study that I really enjoyed making. Completed in 1h 25m.

I don't think I showed it off here but I updated my model's ears a bit. Now they have unique shapes when I raise and lower my eyebrows. I find dunce-caps really funny so I tried to make it if the ears are totally up then it turns into a cone like shape LMAOW #live2d

Here’s some Permanent Marker that I got in Bangkok yesterday for £3.90 a gram… ($4.80) Honestly was really nice, burnt clean, tasted like an 8/10 permanent marker, but for the price… can you complain at this weed?

Today’s practice: Frieren meme I actually don’t use basic shapes to draw (spheres, cubes, cylinders) I probably used them back when I was a student, but I don’t even remember anymore. So my method isn’t really a useful guide for anyone who wants to learn something.

⚡️Affinity finally has a Blend Tool — and more. My version of the Blend Tool produces much cleaner vector shapes than Illustrator and gives consistent, high-quality results even with complex forms. With the new Claude integration, you can build your own tools in Affinity via scripting and vibe coding. I’ve already made a few that significantly improve my workflow. Might release it later — after some more testing.

Dillingham on this opportunity: “Really just confidence, confidence from my teammates, confidence from my coaches, and really confidence in myself. I really just feel like I haven't got to get an opportunity where I feel confident. I'm just waiting for the spark to come back.”
