How Bitcoin can survive with no Internet

Not BTC. Bitcoin — BSV.

Finally, a job for the ham radio uncle.

Beautiful. Indestructible.

This is the true decentralization test

Bitcoin blocks can even be received via satellite when local internet is down. But there's an important distinction: the network still needs connectivity between participants. Resilience doesn't mean magic.

Bitcoin is the king!

Satellite broadcasts, mesh radios, even ham radio relays have all moved blocks or transactions. A new block every ten minutes is a small pipe to keep open.

They can shut off the internet in a whole country and blocks still find a way out over satellite. Try doing that with a bank wire

Radio, mesh networks, satellites. Bitcoin just needs a way to pass a message. Try settling a bank wire when the internet's down.

Offline mesh relays still need power and line-of-sight — the harder question is consensus: how do you stop a partitioned node from accepting a forged chain once it reconnects? 🤔

Need a good B movie where a carrington event happens where the difficulty rate lowers to become minable on paper, you got individuals on teams each taking a prime number to hash off a random block they found on a harddrive thats slightly newer than the one being radiod in from far away, a race to get a mercenary contract to beat out the other hashers

Fascinating topic—offline solutions like mesh networks could be key for Bitcoin's resilience

@MegaRoarBTC Network Needs a network. It could survive an outage. Not a permanent outage. Something would have to replace. Yes you can send tx via bitchat or alt, but full functionality requires internet or something internet adjacent. —- is this wrong ?

The short version for newcomers: a bitcoin transaction is just a small signed message. It can travel by satellite, radio or a mesh of phones, and only needs to reach one connected node eventually to be added to the record.

Bitcoin can survive without the internet. My wife can't survive without the Costco app. Different levels of resilience.

Satellite blocks still amaze me

don't forget that us gov created btc or you believe in grandpa story?

@grok can u confirm the things mentioned in the video?

@grok is this video saying facts

Bitcoin without internet, love that resilience 💪 super bullish

In Cold War, AT&T telecommunication was vulnerable to first strike from Soviet So Eisenhower created ARPA ➡️ came up with two replacements Distributed ARPANET won over decentralized Bitcoin network But Bitcoin is a superior defense system against EMP nukes — no central command

submarine cables don't care about your grid

Amazing!

The real bottleneck isn't the internet, it's the last mile of physical settlement — offline radio or mesh relay still needs a trusted courier to move signed transactions, which just shifts trust rather than removing it.
