The Free Speech Union is taking an interest in the story of Jason Arday for a number of reasons. First, we want to know who paid for the threatening letter from the law firm Carter-Ruck — effectively a SLAPP — that was sent to Times Higher Education in an attempt to get journalist Jack Grove to stop asking Professor Arday questions about his academic record. Was it Jason Arday himself? The University of Cambridge? Or the Good Law Project? Second, we want to know who reported both the academic and former professor David Harris and Times Higher Education journalist Jack Grove to the police, alleging harassment after they began asking Arday questions about his academic and extracurricular record. In David Harris’s case, the Metropolitan Police referred the complaint to Devon and Cornwall Police, which rightly decided there was nothing to investigate. But in Jack Grove’s case, he was contacted by the police and informed that he had been the subject of a four-month investigation by the Met. While officers said they would be taking no further action, he was told he should refrain from questioning Jason Arday again because it was also affecting Arday’s mental health. The police should never be telling journalists whom they can and cannot question — particularly when there are legitimate questions that need answering. Powerful people should not be able to use the police to silence journalists and academics who are simply asking questions and doing their jobs. The Free Speech Union has written to Sir Mark Rowley, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, to ask what on earth his officers were playing at. He has yet to reply. If Jason Arday was the person who reported these individuals to the police, that is one thing. The people behind Professor Arday - and the racism row over the academic whistleblower. Jason Arday is the barrel I can’t stop scraping. This week, more footage has emerged to cast doubt on his fantastical claims. A former school friend of his says that Jason was not only able to speak, but he was able to maintain an acapella harmony. And a clip from Surprise Surprise had his girlfriend reeling off his achievements while Jason sweats listening to the bullshit piling up. None of the evidence mounting against him has stopped the usual suspects from rushing to the trenches to defend him. Dr Shola Mos-Eisley-Cantina-bing-bong accused everyone of racism. She could be the next diversity academic to be scrutinised. Bus station tramp James O’Brien put down the bottle of cooking sherry long enough to tell us that only a racist would question Arday - unwittingly making an excellent case for racism, as he implies they’re the only people brave enough to pursue the truth. Nathan Cofnas, an academic who broke rank to ask awkward questions about Professor Arday, was indeed accused of racism for doing so. Journalist Dan Neidle asked “Why was the Jason Arday story broken by a racist blogger and not the mainstream press?”, a question that answers itself (anyone who broke the story would be accused of being a racist blogger by you, Dan). And who were the academics who propelled Professor Arday to such an improbable position? His boss at Cambridge, Hilary Cremin, doesn’t seem to have a professional relationship with him. She holds his hands, stares into his eyes, and gushes over him in a way we wouldn’t see if Jason was a 55-year-old white professor with male-pattern baldness and spectacles. Other academics on the board that unanimously selected him seem to have their own racism problem, condemning “whiteness”, which they described as “pernicious”, and calling for the “re-education of whites”. Haven’t we had enough re-education already? The appointment of Professor Arday, and the condemnation of Nathan Cofnas as “racist” for correctly questioning his appointment, point to a bigger problem in academia where the truth is ignored in favour of expedient ideology. Nathan has researched race science - such landmines as the distribution of IQ by demographic group and the heritability of IQ - and has been condemned for it. It’s academia’s flat-earth belief. No amount of evidence will convince them to drop the mantra that we’re all absolutely equal when it comes to IQ. (I’m being a bit unfair to flat-earthers here because at least the earth looks flat up close.) Harvard psychologist Howard Gardner explicitly states on stage: even if proponents of hereditarian views on intelligence (whom he refers to as “the bad guys”) are correct, “life is short, and we have to make choices about how we spend our time...even if the scientific evidence doesn’t support it.” Yeah, who needs such outmoded ideas as scientific evidence? Snoop Fraud: MORE revelations about Jason Arday There are further developments in the story of Professor Jason Arday, aka Scamuel L Jackson, aka Baron Munch-chicken. He claimed that he was threatened by a knife wielding maniac on campus - but he didn’t report it, he said his family received a pigs head in the post - which the police and the butchers deny, he was on TV show "7 Up" - but it was broadcast 21 years before he was born. I'm at the point now where I wouldn't be surprised to learn that he isn't even black. Leftists are still fawning over him, race grifters are digging in and the BBC is still pushing narratives of "racism", but the tidal wave of bullshit has swept away his support and the credibility not just of Cambridge, but of this sort of academia. Birmingham University's Professor of Black Studies, Kehinde Andrews, is soon to be out of a job as only 8 people signed up to study Black. Other blackademics are sure to be exposed as their output seems to consist of moaning about their own personal experience. Perhaps these universities could replace Black Studies with my course in Prejudice? I teach students to notice patterns of behaviour and apply that knowledge - with a surprisingly high accuracy. It's a fantastic tool with many real-world applications. I used it to immediately guess (correctly) that Jason Arday was a bullshatter and that the simpering white liberals who appointed him were just desperate to be seen to be near a black man with dreadlocks. To reward what almost certainly were falsehoods on Arday's part (it is unclear whether McKenzie knew he had not raised all that money), the TV show pledged to send him to New York to watch the marathon (which was canceled that year due to Hurricane Sandy). They also sent him to see Andy Murray play and to meet the tennis legend. One might argue that by receiving material goods in exchange for falsehoods, Arday had committed fraud. Murray later marveled over Arday's story to the Guardian, in particular Arday's claim, likely false, that he ran the last 10 marathons with a hairline fracture in his leg. A man who built a career on an extraordinary personal story packed with claims that collapse under basic scrutiny got found out. Plagiarism in the PhD work. Disputed affiliations. Trump is a racist. America elected a racist, and he is a reflection of what today’s America has become. More than 80 million Americans voted for him. It is not that Trump created racists, he simply opened the door and gave them permission to be who they already were. He is a racist, and that is why, in November 2024 when he was elected, I was shocked to see black Africans celebrating and supporting this bigot. I was genuinely shocked. Again, it goes back to the issue of knowledge, or the lack of it. Our people do not read. They are fascinated by soundbites and television theatrics. Trump, the loudmouth showman on NBC shouting “You are fired,” is what excited them. They never took the time to dig deeper and understand the character, history, and worldview of the man they were cheering for from Africa. They never bothered. And this is part of the reason why Africa is in such a mess. We do not follow ideas, we do not follow values, and we are not guided by principle. Across the continent — from Zimbabwe to South Africa, Zuma included, and all the way up — we follow personalities instead of interrogating their ideas. I am glad that what is happening now is happening, because it exposes the folly. Even the Somalis in Minnesota, whose community leadership openly endorsed Donald Trump, are now living with the consequences of that decision. What he is doing to them is exactly what we warned them about. But they did not listen, just like the Africans on the continent who were twerking for Trump without understanding who or what they were supporting. Trump’s grandfather came from Germany, so by the very same logic he uses to attack others, one could easily call Trump a German. His mother came from Scotland. Yet he still has the audacity to tell Americans of Somali parentage to go back to Somalia, even though they were born in the United States and are fully American. Many of the people shouting this racist nonsense are themselves descendants of immigrants who arrived only a generation or two ago. None of them are indigenous to America. Trump has no right to question the citizenship or belonging of Americans simply because their grand parents came from Somalia, especially when his own lineage comes from Germany and Scotland. This is the clearest definition of racism. It is selective exclusion disguised as patriotism, and it exposes exactly what the world is dealing with, a racist American president who emboldens other racists while conveniently ignoring his own foreign ancestry. His decision to kick South Africa out of the G20 again is a blatantly racist act. That is why he is replacing South Africa with Poland.
