Love them! This one looks like it wants a kiss 😍

Pond in my local park today was full of frogspawn, sadly no newts visible. After seeing the numbers in your pond I expected to see at least one 😕

You’d see them in the evening, if you had a torch/flashlight

They toadaly creep me out.

I see what you did there

I love frogs - Seven years ago, we had a Green Tree frog lay eggs in our 4ft x 4ft fountain. I fed the Tadpoles steamed spinach & zucchini, blood worm & calcium twice a day from October through until May the next year. I put a green mosquito net over the fountain to keep birds & snakes away. Mother frog was so happy with the job we did, that she came back & laid a second lot of eggs, after the first lot morphed. It was a lot of fun & we learned a lot about the frogs. I think I counted 67 wee frogs in the fountain one morning, they were all over the garden & our neighbors told us when they migrated to their yard too. I took a lot of pix of them, including pix of the Tadpoles feeding.

Have quite a few frogs around the garden but my pond has never ever had frogspawn in it - once counted 14 frogs in my "frog house" - a groups of large stone slabs in and under the water. I do have a few newts, goldfish and a tench, so maybe they find frogspawn tasty?🐸🐸

You can have fish or amphibians, you can't have both, not thriving

Looking forward to plenty around the garden in a few months, provided the ferocious beast doesn't eat too many of the tadpoles. Did you say you could feed the newt?

Frozen bloodworm, they love it
