How does a plane flip upside down?

Something is off with this story. No footage of the lead up to the flip

Well, the crosswinds were bad, but only this plane flipped. Will it be DEI related? We'll have to be patient for the story to come out.

I would guess the same as any vehicle. It skids on an icy runway and slides sideways. Then the wheels catch on something and the plane tips. The wings, which are not strong enough to go through a steel building, break off, and the plane rolls all the way over.

YYZ's response seems to be textbook and dead on the money. Proud of them. It just remain to be seen what caused the crash.... and that could be anything.

Brutal... I'm so glad it didn't catch fire or explode..
