#WATCH | Delhi: MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal says, "The UK side has invited several countries, which also include India, for talks on the Strait of Hormuz. From our side, the Foreign Secretary is attending the meeting this evening..." He further says, "We are in touch with Iran and other countries there to see how best we can get unimpeded transit and safe transit for our ships, which are carrying products including LPG, LNG and other products. Through this conversation that we have had over the last several days, we have had six Indian ships which have been able to safely cross the Strait of Hormuz, and we continue to be in touch with relevant parties."

🚨 CEO Sultan Al Jaber warns Gulf oil flows could take at least 4 months to recover to just 80% of pre-war levels, even if the Iran conflict ended immediately. Reopening Hormuz is not the same as restoring normal flows. Tankers, LNG cargoes, pipelines, storage systems, and damaged infrastructure all need time to restart. Talk about WASTE, FRAUD, AND ABUSE! 🚨The board of Directors for the Export-Import Bank of the United States is having a meeting on Thursday, 3/13/25 to vote on whether they will approve nearly $5 BILLION in US taxpayer dollars to be sent overseas to AFRICA to fund an LNG Energy project in competition with the Trump prioritized LNG project in Alaska!!🚨 France’s largest energy company, Total Energies TotalEnergies, is pursuing $5 billion of American taxpayer funds from the U.S. Export-Import Bank for its Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project located in Mozambique, a third world country in East Africa that is plagued by Islamic terrorism and massive electoral unrest. This project will directly compete with the LNG Industry in the U.S., especially Alaska LNG which is a TOP Energy priority from President Trump. The US is the largest LNG exporter in the world. On January 20th, 2025, President Donald J. Trump signed an executive order titled UNLEASHING ALASKA’S EXTRAORDINARY RESOURCE POTENTIAL, in which he said he was ordering the US to “prioritize the development of Alaska’s LNG potential, including the permitting of all necessary pipeline and export infrastructure related to the Alaska LNG Project, giving due consideration to the economic and national security benefits associated with such development.” Instead of supporting President Trump's domestic energy dominance agenda, the ExIm Bank U.S. Export-Import Bank is sending our tax dollars to foreign competitors. In practice, the ExIm Bank finances investments by big businesses that primarily benefit foreign companies and governments, much like USAID. U.S. taxpayer dollars should NOT fund a foreign-based and foreign-owned energy project that would be a direct competition with American energy producers, sending the economic wealth from those projects overseas. Recent attacks on key energy infrastructure in the Persian Gulf are having major global consequences. Critical LNG facilities have been knocked offline for years, and disruption in the Strait of Hormuz is restricting supply. Gas prices have surged (nearly doubling in the UK), pushing up inflation and shifting expectations toward higher interest rates and borrowing costs. The UK and Europe are particularly vulnerable due to increasing reliance on imported LNG, raising longer-term energy security concerns. Beyond energy, reduced production of ammonia, helium, and other byproducts is likely to impact food supply, healthcare, and semiconductor manufacturing worldwide. Source: Ed Conway

🇶🇦 Qatar just declared force majeure on LNG contracts after the Iran war disrupted supply. Shipments to Europe and Asia are affected. An Iranian strike hit Ras Laffan, knocking out ~17% of Qatar’s LNG capacity. That’s ~12.8M tons per year, offline for 3-5 years. Qatar is one of the world’s top LNG exporters. Main buyers include China, South Korea, India, Japan, and major European countries like Italy and Belgium. Now add a disrupted Strait of Hormuz… and the pressure multiplies. Source: aljazeera
