How long can we go on spending beyond our means before it all crashes? It is irresponsible to raise the debt limit without taking any measures to take us off of this path, this road to hell, paved with great intentions, but with no fiscal responsibility or accountability.

This is the US northern border. A nation with out borders is not a nation. It’s so widely open that’s it’s impossible to keep track of even “gotaways”. It’s beyond irresponsible to be helping other countries grow their Greater plans or expansions when we can’t even focus domestically on our own issues. before we go fighting or spending our tax money on other countries let’s secure our nation.

With at least 8 no votes on the legislation, I do not expect there will be a vote as planned tomorrow on the McCarthy debt limit increase. Both parties have contributed to this mess, and it's probably going to take both parties negotiating to get out of it. I am eager to work with any Democrat or Republican to cut federal spending.

The level of debt our country faces is unprecedented in all of history. If we don’t effectively deal with it — and soon — our system will experience a financial heart attack. It all comes down to the numbers. The US currently pays about a trillion dollars a year on interest rates. And over the next year, we’re going to have to pay back and roll forward over nine trillion dollars of debt. This squeeze on spending simply isn’t sustainable. If spending continues at its current rate, a supply-demand issue is inevitable. The good news is that this problem is manageable, so long as we act now. I would say this is a travesty of justice, but we all pretty much knew this is where it was going to go. The government can compel you to take an experimental shot, while simultaneously claiming it has no duty to protect you from the experimental shot it compelled you to take. A special seat in hell for everyone in the government apparatus ratifying this injustice…
