A low Blue Angels flyover this morning during "Breakfast with the Blues" caused quite the stir at Pensacola Beach. It sent hats, tents and chairs flying as people were surprised by what they just witnessed. "I've been coming for 10 years and I've never seen a pass like that."

On 26 June 1988, Air France Flight 296Q crashed while making a low pass over Mulhouse–Habsheim Airfield as part of the Habsheim Air Show. The accident unfolded in front of the spectators. This particular flight was the A320's inaugural passenger flight, and most of those on board were journalists and raffle competition winners. They had won tickets as part of a promotional event hosted by local businesses. The low-speed flyover, with landing gear down, was supposed to take place at an altitude of 100 feet (30 m). However, the plane performed the flyover at only 30 ft (9 m), skimming the treetops of the forest at the end of the runway before crashing. Miraculously, all 136 passengers survived the initial impact, but 3 then died of smoke inhalation from the subsequent fire.

December 28, 1975 The controversial call which set up the #Cowboys' controversial "Hail Mary" touchdown pass in the 1975 NFC Divisional against the #Vikings. On 4th-&-16 from his own 25, trailing by four with :44 remaining, Dallas's Roger Staubach hits an airborne Drew Pearson with a 25-yard pass at the sideline, where he's knocked out of bounds by #Skol's Nate Wright. The NFL's "force out" rule at the time stated that if a receiver has possession and is in the air, and is then pushed out of bounds before he lands, it is ruled a completed catch if officials determine that the receiver would have landed inbounds with both feet had he not been pushed. The pass is ruled complete for a #DallasCowboys first down, saving their season and setting up Staubach's game-winning touchdown pass to Pearson two plays later.

There are many pilots out there... and then there's this pilot, the apathy in his voice. After a landing gear lever malfunction forced the use of the backup extension system on this Delta A220-100 flight 2929 from Minneapolis, landing at Charlotte, ATC offered a low pass for a visual inspection. The pilot casually replied: “I don’t care if it comes back up again.” The A220 safely landed on RNY 12R at CLT. 📹: flightsimstuff

much smoother after applying a low pass Butterworth filter with a 3hz cutoff. this filters out high frequency small movements (aka noise) in the trajectory, it also naturally attenuates the signal so makes the robot move slower, I’ve added a bit of gain back to compensate and speed it up again after the filtering. still a bit jiggly, mainly in the shoulder pan but it seems to be mostly mechanical at this point

Ever notice how the A350 seems to just float onto the runway? That silky-slow approach isn't an accident.. it's engineering with a purpose. By using carbon-fiber to reduce weight and designing high-lift wings and flaps, the A350 can approach at slower speeds (like 140 knots). This translates to shorter landing distances, better performance in hot/high airports, and more operational flexibility, which many pilots and operators see as a key day-to-day edge. Do you think the low-speed handling puts the A350 ahead in the widebody rivalry, or do Boeing's planes win on other stuff like range?

Looking back at ADSBexchange data, that helicopter you see in the video pacing the 777 does not appear to be a coincidence. N126JJ (Agusta 109E) was orbiting prior to the 777’s arrival and then descended and tried to keep up with the 777. ATC from LiveATC.net also shows that this was a highly coordinated event. Whether the company that owned this aircraft knew this was happening or not is to be determined. But this was no random low approach/flyby/low pass down the runway on a whim. One thing to note, the 109E is not a typical aerial filming platform. Most likely the left hand sliding door was open with a camera person filming from the backseat. Long story short, this is probably some wild aerial footage to the low pass that exists.

The Airbus A380 showing off just how agile it can be 👀 This was at Farnborough Airshow, the A380 performed an aggressive steep turn followed by a stunning slow pass. Despite its size, its fly-by-wire system keeps everything in check. Under normal law, the bank angle is limited to around 33°, but pilots can push it up to 67° by holding the sidestick; the fly-by-wire system will revert to 33° if the stick is released. 📹: theaerolife

EA FC 25 is a different game from FC 24. The pass control becomes so real, that you just need to relearn it, that’s how you enjoy the game. At first, when I downloaded it, it was so horrible for me. But later on, I had to relearn their pass control and it has been the best so far. If you’re good with dribbling and long passes, you’ll enjoy FC25 so much.

EA FC 25 is a different game from FC 24. The pass control becomes so real, that you just need to relearn it, that’s how you enjoy the game. At first, when I downloaded it, it was so horrible for me. But later on, I had to relearn their pass control and it has been the best so far. If you’re good with dribbling and long passes, you’ll enjoy FC25 so much.

Even its wartime manual warned pilots against moving the throttles too rapidly. Its four engines produced only about 8,800 hp for an aircraft approaching 60 tonnes. With full flaps and gear creating enormous drag, a last minute go around was much harder than it is in a modern aircraft. Now imagine doing this at night, In rain with low visibility. On a wet runway. Low on fuel. Back then, your flying record was only as good as your last landing.

This lady was awfully kind, and sounded her horn to let me know she was behind me. I ignored it the first time, so she did it a second time. I looked around, tried to wave her past, but she wasn't having any of it, went for a tactical close pass, and I caught up with her at the traffic lights for a chat. #dashcam #shitdriving

Hi, kindly assist. What can the City of Harare, Zimbabwe Republic Police, and Harare SPCA do about unsecured dogs? What is the council’s policy regarding dog owners who fail to ensure that members of the public are protected from dangerous and potentially vicious dogs? In Kuwadzana 5, at 156th Circle, we are experiencing a serious problem with a resident who lives near the Towerlight. The dogs are very large and aggressive, and the durawall is broken and has not been properly maintained. Children and other members of the public are afraid to pass by, yet this is the main route leading to the main road. This situation poses a significant risk to public safety. Can the responsible authorities please take action before these dogs attack someone from the community? Thank you. Mayor of Harare, Jacob Mafume

Rep Anna Luna suspects a low level Pentagon employee is responsible for her UFO videos letter being ignored by the Department of War “Whoever was trying to be cute at the Pentagon that decided to not pass our letter and release these at the said date furthers the distrust the American people have with the government. I don’t think Hegseth had anything to do with it, I think it’s someone lower level who is trying to block this. We have a right to see this information, there has been a directive by the President, so we are going to continue to push for this.”
