How Much Money Doctors Make!

Being a doctor is a great way to make money - silly to suggest otherwise. My buddy makes $400,000 / year. Many examples. MOST doctors are children of doctors and parents are rich. If you pay everything, ya $400,000 + 8 yrs (college, post) until you make money. After 12 years you can make $400,000, specialize. Specialist retire north of $5 Million - after 15 years…. Some continue 30 years. Becoming a ‘nurse practitioner’ - can pay $90k for half the schooling. Better choice for most, but top pay is $90k range not $400k. Nurse is the ‘to make the most money’ choice, IMO.

My daughter is in medical school in the PHD/MD program and has a full ride scholarship. She will have zero debt when she is finished.

The headline number hides all the variance. A pediatrician and a neurosurgeon don't live in the same tax bracket, and neither does the med school debt.

There is a brain drain in the field as it requires an intellectual mind to be an MD or OD. And they know there is a better ROI elsewhere. And take their intellect across the street to a less regulated field.

Kinda sad to see!

I have hundreds of dentist and doctor clients. So many of them are just starting, or considering starting, saving for retirement, and they are in their upper 30's or early 40's, with student loans and practice debt still in the mix. Only their current self can protect their future self, and they are already burning daylight. Their annual income may sound like a big number, but it gets small fast.

Cheap ass !! Go beg for someone’s leftovers

the salary always makes the chart, the long shifts and the decade of training never do

I agree. You shouldn’t go into medical school for the money. There’s a lot of much more efficient ways to make money, is just not worth it. You really need to love medicine to go into medicine. And I really mean it.
