Fidias, they talking malakies. With today’s technology (blockchain) a digital currency can be created in a matter of days, at a cost of basically nothing. Not only that, it is secure, transparent and scalable. Granted there needs manpower to govern and set up. But the cost of a billion is a slap in the face to EU citizens.

The main problem is not about the cost, but mass surveillance and control.
