Aaaaaaarrrrrrrggggghhhh. I have been changing my own oil filters for 55 years and now I learn I have been doing it wrong.

Me sending this to my mechanic just to look smart 🤣

Where was the rest of the oil? That thing running on fumes.

Wow. So instead of having to hammer a screwdriver through the filter and get it loose with pipe or a hammer all need is a plastic cup? Can I use a paper straw to break loose the rusted caliper nuts too?

you could have said earlier

😑 you missed adding oil to the seal. Dip finger in clean oil and rub in o-ring seal.

Lmao who wears gloves like that? And many oil filters face out not down so this is pointless

those gloves arent stopping shit lmao who let this guy in the shop

you never wrench tighten the new filter- hand tighten firmly and that's it. dang kids these days...

Doesn’t he need like 10 litres plastic cup?

And when mounted horizontally?

What was the point of the cup of you drop the filter AND THE CUP into a pool of oil?

Didn’t lubricate the o ring. Never seen someone fill up the filter with oil, either.

Mechanics watching this

wow soooooo smart!!

There has been a lot of talk about blinker fluid. Would you show us how to add it 🤔

-wrong gloves -no need to fill -need to lube the rim rubber -screwing by hand is enough Who the hell filmed this

Citroen gs. Oliefilter on top 🤔

False video, the oil filter cannot be removed from the vehicle so easily! You still need a special tool for that. This here is OK only when the filter is at least slightly unscrewed!‼

Gonna try this next time my ride needs a change. Thanks for the pro tip!

Brilliant! ... I usually just make a mess doing this.

Now do the top mount filter

I thought you were supposed to just let it spill all over your arm??

Great, now I need to add a Tim Hortons cup to my tool collection. These car companies are getting out of hand with the specific tools we need to do basic things on their vehicles.

What car is this? I've never seen an oil filter placed below the engine with the oil pan. My car's oil filter is burried deep in the engine bay and I have to disassemble a couple of air hoses to acess it.

Yah, if you got the time. Boss: What's the hold up. Get that oil changed. Me: but I'm being really clean. Boss: clean on your own time. It should take 20 minutes to do that. Hurry up!

Bro should be fired just for using those gloves smh

No

You have the pan right there, just crack the filter a couple of turns and wait 10 minutes for the dripping to stop. Then finish taking off the filter. Don't be a girl.

This one never jam oil filter we go need even chisel to pull it out 😂😂

If it’s a diesel grab that 7-11 big gulp cup

Some things are best left for the experts.
