UPS also has indexation benefits. Kudos ! Here, an avg person's indexation benefits are snatched away even for gains from debt funds. Amazing. The next generation would be happy to become a peon in the government sector rather than a scientist in the private sector.

Question is how much taxes they’re gonna increase on us to fund their pensions. 🙈😔

But how is it a discrimination against private sector employees? It's like saying that private sector employees are paid higher (or get shares/ esops etc) - that is discrimination against govt employees. Its 2 different set of employers doing something for their own set of employees.

Private sector salaried employees need to create an association and lobby govt. Need to find a way to put pressure. Thats what all other grps are doing to get benefits.

Well explained..👏 I fully well agree that Govt should look for parity in methodology for both Govt and Private Sector Employees/Self employed.🙏

Thanks, yes

Pvt - Uncertainity while working & retirement Govt - Safe haven Sad state of affairs.

Nice explanation Finally private employees pay tax and get nothing

First of all, does a private sector employee stick to the same company for 25 years? How is Govt providing pension to its employees a discrimination? Pension is an employer's offering to employees.

Still missing the "how" part. The entire notion of private is that it's private, why should govt pay private sector employees pension?
